    Fair City!

    Lads, what the fcuk like!

They should have went to the Derek Zoolander school for adults that can't act good and want to do other things good too.

    State of it!

The way they stare into space after saying their lines before the camera pans away from them irritates me

Not trivial but I thought it was important to post this. You know that couple who were accused of abandoning their child because he had downs syndrome? Well the father is a convicted sex offended including the sexual abuse of a 5 year old girl!! WTF?!!! How is he allowed to have a child in his care??? How is he allowed anywhere NEAR any children full stop??

I thought I'd heard it all, but I just have no idea what's going on in the world anymore. My blood is BOILING after discovering this. http://news.sky.com/story/1316338/abandoned-downs-baby-parents-break-silence

having to touch taps and doors on the way out of a public toilet. In Milan every toilet door was kickable open on the way out and every tap had a foot pump or a sensor. In Dublin if the tap doesnt get me after going to the trouble of deep cleansing my hands the door does. yep I am completely nuts but in a trivial way :D lol

    Yes! Yes! Yes!
This drives me nuts. Sensor taps and doors please!

I hate when you're trying to have a perve at a pedestrian whilst you're driving past, but another car/road sign/lamppost gets in the way for that crucial 2-3 seconds and ruins the whole opportunity.

being forced to touch a door handle on the way out of the bathroom and realizing it is wet and sticky ... *SHUDDER*.... this creeps me out

I never touch the door handles in the toilets. I always kick the door open.

Yes but the issue is that the door doesn't kick in the direction of travel therefore a previously germ free hand is forced to grab a disgusting warm wet handle full of bacteria , some of it harmful due to the fact that some people simply do not wash their hands [or wash them properly when they do] after doing either a number 1 or even a 2.

The signpost near the end of the M11 at Gorey. It proclaims that Wexford is 52km away. You pass it at 120kph and realise that if the motorway continued you'd be there in 26 minutes instead the motorway runs out not long afterwards, your speed falls way off and you're lucky to be in Wexford in 40-45mins.

    '52km' - it's a taunt every fecking time I pass it!

Definitely a nicer drive, but I think the reduction of the speed limit from 100kph to 80kph has taken some of the sheen off it and it's tractor central at this time of year. I've never found it faster though especially as I have to get over the bridge and out of Wexford to get home.

Also the itsforwomen.ie ad. How can they be allowed put this sexist rubbish on the television? I think Katie Taylor should get checked out for brain injury from all that boxing. Those dead eyes and monotone voice should send alarm bells to those who care for her.

I initially heard about her on the ad and thought it was the usual exaggeration. I finally did see the ad before a movie recently and I have to agree - she looks completely out of it. I was pretty taken aback

It's weird seeing the banner for the ad, with her on it, on boards.ie all the time.

I would say that she had never read an autocue before. I would imagine she was just really awkward.

It's shocking to think that was the best take that they got out of her though.

Our provider charges per lift, but a fair use limit applies. So if you cram too much in you'll pay a surcharge. One of our neighbours who uses the same provider just can't get this concept and wonders why they occasionally pay a few euro more per lift.

The permadrunk married couple I see on the bus around 6pm every day. The husband is blind and is very keen to tell you why. He lost his sight in a drink driving accident he himself caused. Yet, he has no shame about this and says it's a disgrace that his disability benefits are so low.

Female colleague at work with low cut top, leaning over my desk to show me something on computer screen.

One false glance and I'll get labelled as the office pervert for the next 20 years.

I saw it in the same circumstances as well and she really does seem to be all kinds of messed up.

The vacant look in her eyes says it's more than just inexperience at reading an autocue.

I'm having the same problem today in work. When I'm sitting down at the window dealing with customers boobs are usually exactly in my eyeline if I just look straight ahead.

It seems today is college registration day for somewhere near me because it has been a constant stream of girls in their early twenties wearing cleavagey tops due to the nice weather.

Very hard to focus on anything but the obvious :)

Had to tip up the couch and Stanley the fabric off the bottom recently to get mine back. It was a second hand refurbished couch and i found roach ends and papers and crud inside. Needed a shower after that!

I think Nutella have designed a special knife to get every last bit of chocolatly goodness from thier jar. I'm sure it would work on other jars as well.

People clearly don't watch it for the talent involved... because, well.... ye know. They must be watching it as car-crash t.v. It's so weird.

It's as if the actors and staff on their very first day working for Fair City get taken into a room and told "Everything you know about acting? FORGET IT! Now, out ye go!"

Kids are the ultimate excuse for everything in Ireland.

They are treated like something that is inflicted on people without any input from themselves to put them in their situation.

I wouldn't be one to visit a church that often, but have had 2 funerals in the past 4 days to go to.

Where the pew's always a torture device? They are rowed too close together, so I cannot stand up straight. My ankle tight up against the kneely down yokie, and my calves against the seat, with my knees bent.

It doesn't help that I went for a massive run yesterday and haven't drank enough water, bloody muscles cramping up while looked into these devices that are straight out of Saw.

Ahh you're going to the wrong church lads. The one I go to it's all plush seats and knee rests, flat screen tv's on all the pillars so you don't miss a minute of the priests chalice work close up...

They do tend to pass the baskets around twice though, like they didn't understand "get bent" the first time, and then there was that one church where the guy stood at the end of the pew with a box attached to a stick, shoving it in along the row of people. He picked the wrong guy to try the humiliating staring game with! :pac:

Aaanyway, I bought a DVD there for the young lad, and they have this new "Ultraviolet Digital Copy" technology on them now, that basically allows you to watch the movie on any of your digital devices. Great idea, in theory.

Until you read the instructions -

    1. Go to http://ultraviolet.flixster.com/uk/bigfacedaffy

    2. Follow the steps to create your free Flixster and Ultraviolet accounts

    3. Enter the redemption code below to start enjoying your episodes

You have to create two separate accounts with two separate services just to do something that should be a simple, streamlined process?

Go and shìte tbh, more effort than it's worth, and I already have trouble keeping control over my inbox without even more junk mail!

Bloody Sky ringing me every day, nearly twice a day trying to sell me Sports or Movies. I have the mobile phone on silent while at work so when I see there is a missed call during work hours, it's always them!

I emailed them last week to get myself taken off their call list, as well as changing my online account settings to email contact only. I got a lovely reply back assuring me this would be done.

Today at 11.19 am, guess what???:mad::mad:

I'm going to have to take the phone off silent, answer it the next time it rings and suggest that I may need to cancel my subscription if they don't stop badgering me. It's only a month since I last spoke to them!

(Without being arsey to the call centre person...they're only following a list they're given!!)

Yes, I think it was supposed to be funny, seeing as she married an Oirish man. I know very little about her but that helmet of hair annoys me, trivially.
