Msc in engineering with Bsc in Physics?

If I get a Bsc in Physics, will most colleges allow me to do a Masters in Engineering (Mechanical/Electronic)? The only reason I ask is because Ive been reading that it is very hard to get a job with just a Bsc in Physics, is this true?
