Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

The Van Gogh museum is fantastic !
    Hookers and spliffs.

It'd be a shame to go all the way to Amsterdam and not come back with a footballer though.

I've been. I was really it enjoying until the paint started dripping off the paintings and my hands became infested with tiny insects crawling under my skin.

They have a very good business model we wouldn't be able to get them for that price, plus we'd never get Molby and Ruddock out of there.

Well I was around and I replied to a post correcting someone. Any reason it upsets you so much?

How many times has power been mentioned tonight on MNF. Neville thinks us or Arsenal won't win it because were not as powerful. Going by his logic we need to buy bigger players hit the gym. No wonder England are gone so poor.

Can and Hendo are not exactly small units, Lovren/Sakho double teaming a forward would flatten most I reckon.

Wonder if Carsten Yanker is ready to pull his boots back on...

It's weird, because we have no sniff of a new signing, but at the same time we are sure something is happening.

And yesterday we were pretty poor... but won anyway. The problems in the first team are pretty obvious to everyone so I don't know what to talk about personally. :pac:

Should drop about 12 million on the table for Cech in the morning and see what happens.

I'm just sick of every pundit & some managers mentioning power all the time. Its become a buzz word that everyone copies now. I think there are forgetting the 2 most succesful teams of the last 6 years Spain & Barca were teams full of small players. Back then they were saying football was becoming a small's mans game. Now its about power & size lol. I think the teams with the best football players will win trophies not the most powerful.

1.5m for a World Cup finalist beats Cech mate! :p

Just further to Romero, one tweet suggested that Coates might be heading in the other direction to Sampdoria

Reminds me of the time we paid £3m for a guy who had a world cup winners medal to his name. :(

Funnily enough we got another guy with a WC winners medal the season before that.

    Diomede and Riedle?

Riedle was good, always liked him!

Diomede never even got a chance, did he get injured not long after he was bought or was it just Houllier didn't fancy him?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 25,775 ✭✭✭✭kfallon

As a matter of interest, how many World Cup winners have played for Liverpool?

    Hunt
    Callaghan
    Riedle
    Diomede
    Arbeloa
    Alonso
    Torres
    Reina

    Is that it?

Looking at Diego Costa and thinking if only we had CL football when we were in for him, then we might have got his signature. Think he'll be the real deal for Chelsea this season.

thought he was a bit poor to be honest, not sure if he fits in with the players around him tbh, he will get a few goals as fabregas will put them on a plate for him

    1990 - Karl-Heinz Riedle

    Google is great... :p

    Pretty incredible record.

I thought he was poor enough yesterday overall tbh but he won us the 3 points so can't be too harsh on him.

He definitely needs more quality up there with him.

Sterling was head and shoulders above him and Coutinho, the latter having little influence.

Imo when a striker scores when playing muck he's a great striker.

Best thing about sturridge for me is how he dosent go too many games without scoring, hes only scored 1 hat trick and a few braces but other then that its usually a goal every other game.

If the bicycle kick goal was awarded as it should have been, Houllier would have had no choice but to play him every week, it was a very impressive debut.

Nobody knows for sure what the reasons were for Houllier not playing him were but the man has been known to bear a grudge against certain players and be influenced by others.
