Is the Lukaku move confirmed? I googled but can't find anything concrete, madness imo anyway if Everton are shelling out £25m. Or maybe I'm just increasingly hacked off at Chelsea getting over the odds for their rejects.

Also, his conversion rate doesnt stand out as he strenght, more of a weakness. Without the pace and power, he's not what he used to be. Sad, still get a kick out of the 2007-2010 youtube videos but it's history now, without the pace , power and arguably gerrard to feed him he is what you see on the pitch at chelsea today. 2010 knee injury , probably caused by ongoing hamstring issues, finished him at the top level.

Sky sports and the BBC both have it on their sites, £28 million!

Good business for them, paid £18m and shipped him out on loan for a couple seasons.

Just seen him on SSN. Seems like a good guy. Could have sat on the bench and hoovered up the money at Chelsea, but seems to prefer to move and play football.

With the inflation of fees as a result of the new tv deal, relatively, it probably amounts to breaking even. I'd imagine this was a big factor in the fee, as it is for any tx's involving English clubs

Saw this on another site. Is a list of players still currently in the game and the number of league goals they had gotten by the time they were 21 years of age.




If nothing else it puts the guy in pretty good company, and about half of his goals from that number have come in the past two seasons in England.

Personally think he is a very good player with a very high ceiling. Would have been happy to see him join us.


And the names that matched or bettered his tally by the time they were 21?

I'd say Owen would be well up that list too.

How does the belgian league rank against the other league those players came from though? 33 of those goals were at anderlect, not that im in anyway deriding his achievement this far.

I agree that Lukaku is a good player with great potential. But hes not worth 28m in my opinion. Not yet anyway.
