Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I feel the need to somehow express my excitement over the prospect of Balotelli.

    balotelli-ger.jpg

    That should do it.

Well United are really going for it I guess. If the get a top class cdm it's gonna be a long tough battle to stay in the top 4. (Prob was anyway..)

I'm just looking forward to the end of the whining about spending no money. That's almost 200M on 6 players in the past 12 months. With very little in sales.

He offers them pace which they don't really have. Madrid got their moneys worth but if he helps get them back in the CL, well worth it. DiMaria, Rooney, RVP and Mata isn't too shabby!

Looks good on paper alright but something is up with mata, van Persie will miss half the season. Rooney is Rooney. Utd are a long way off challenging. For me spurs could be a bigger challenge to top 4 than utd.

The club are certainly not denying Rodgers funds, but you've an odd definition of 'very little'.

Had to laugh at Balotelli's cover photo on Twitter, just a pic of him staring at a Super Mario doll :D.

Yeah they look pretty poor. Still 2 wins out of 2. It will be a tough test for us.

QPR really could do with an experienced right back :p

I think Mario will do very well for Liverpool, very well for a 16m striker :) I feel despite him maybe realising this is a huge and needed opportunity for him he won't be under huge pressure unless sturridge is out or in woeful form.

    Potential of a great signing.

So lads, do we think Manquillo and Moreno will start as full backs tomorrow or will Johnson move to right back?

Personally I'd say GJ will start, I know 99% won't want that but I thinks that's what will happen.

He'll start GJ because of his experience, it might be a bit rough to throw the two new lads in at the eithad! i would but i can't see BR going that route.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,142 ✭✭✭Pilsbury Doughboy

    I'd say we will see....

    Mignolet

    Johnson Skrtel Lovren Moreno

    Gerrard

    Hendo Allen

    Sterling Coutinho
    Sturridge

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,142 ✭✭✭Pilsbury Doughboy

Not sure why that came out like that but I'm sure you can get the jist!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 60,930 ✭✭✭✭Agent Coulson

One thing for is Lucas should not start beside Gerrard.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,739 ✭✭✭ASOT

Can Hendo & Stevie should be the midfield trio imo.

Can't wait till Moreno is a regular and settled starter, interested to see if BR thinks he's ready to go tomorrow or if he holds him back somewhat.

How does Dwight Yorke keep a straight face when collecting his pay off Sky, fack me, monotone, dull, clueless are words that spring to mind, Tia Maria will be a good signing for UTD

Liverpool just need to unleash everything at Utd centra backs right from the off.

    Manquillo-Sakho-Lovren-Moreno
    Gerrard
    Hendo--Lallana
    Sterling
    Sturridge----Markovic

They've really gone all out with their sponsorships now, how much did Centra pay to get the rights to that back three?

For what reason would Skrtel be dropped?

Yep. Am a lot more concerned about tomorrow's game than I am about a game that is down the line.

We are going to need a lot more solidity in the centre and at the back when we face City going by how much bother Southampton were able to cause at times.

In fairness to slattsy he was only referring jokingly to something that I said this morning, that I thought Welbeck would be worth a cheeky punt, so his post is relevant.

So after today's results Liverpool only need to beat Man City by 5 goals to go top of the table.

Bit off topic. But why is Di Maria leaving Real Madrid the best team in Europe and probably the world at the moment for Man Utd.

Not a dig at United really but they are a team in deep transition and could be for some time.

Apparently Perez wants to cash in on him . It appears Ancelloti wanted to keep him, very odd one unless there is more behind the scenes.

He was amazing last year for RM

also they can offload him to a team that isn't a Champ League rival ...
