Looks good on paper alright but something is up with mata, van Persie will miss half the season. Rooney is Rooney. Utd are a long way off challenging. For me spurs could be a bigger challenge to top 4 than utd.

The club are certainly not denying Rodgers funds, but you've an odd definition of 'very little'.

I think Mario will do very well for Liverpool, very well for a 16m striker I feel despite him maybe realising this is a huge and needed opportunity for him he won't be under huge pressure unless sturridge is out or in woeful form.

Personally I'd say GJ will start, I know 99% won't want that but I thinks that's what will happen.

Bit off topic. But why is Di Maria leaving Real Madrid the best team in Europe and probably the world at the moment for Man Utd.

Not a dig at United really but they are a team in deep transition and could be for some time.

also they can offload him to a team that isn't a Champ League rival ...
