Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Can anybody with experience in wheel alignment explain what the values mean on this results sheet please..

Wheel alignment was carried out on my 07 VW Caddy only on the front wheels at a cost of €30 but to me it seems the camber is incorrect on the left..is this important for passing the DOE test?

doe are fussy buggers , garage maybe they did not have the gear to check camber settings,in red does seen to be over the limits as green is good, get shocks done on front as i think they have an adjuster setting bolt that moves angle of wheel.

Thats a pretty basic alignment for 30, I get 4 wheel laser alignment in Bantry for 50.

Aye, needless to say i wont be going back to this particular outfit. Ive heard of garages in the city doing proper 4 wheel alignment for no more than €40.

Front camber is not adjustable on a Caddy neither is rear toe or camber i.e. no more angles are readily adjustable on that vehicle other than the ones that have been adjusted.

That Corghi system used is an excellent machine and has in fact conducted a 4 wheel alignment. The rear may not be adjustable but it uses the rear to align the front. These machines don't use lasers either, they use CCD cameras to ascertain wheel angles.

As far as I'm concerned that's a perfect alignment on that car. Obviously you can chase down whatever issue is causing the camber to be outside of tolerance on the front left but its so small that I wouldn't be bothered if it was my car. It wont cause any issues regarding tyre wear, economy, noise or the CVT.

Ahh i see, my observations about this outfit were incorrect. I was just a little concerned when i saw the red camber value. Many Thanks for the in depth explanation VeVex :)
