We are passing the ball very confidently already compared to the whole of last season. Rooney could have played Welbeck in there a few minutes ago rather than having a shot, he's oozing confidence though.

Decent first half in which we moved the ball around well. I'm gonna need a shower after saying this but I felt Young was good. I'd like to have seen Welbeck a little more involved. The weak links for me are Valencia and to a lesser extent Fletcher. I feel Fletcher isn't mobile enough and doesn't offer enough movement off the ball. His passing could also be more incisive. A bit harsh because he's not exactly bad but I think it'll be a worry if he features as anything more than a squad player this season. Valencia is just absolutely rubbish; offers nothing.

Passing a lot crisper today than in previous match. Allowing for altitude and pitch in previous match this still seems a much tighter performance.

I know its preseason and Inter are missing players but any sign of progress is good.

Unreal acceleration there by shaw, Kags having some nice touches, zaha leading the line well. Keane looks like nothing fazes him. Much better second half than the Roma game so far

I think it's more that he knows Chico can play up top and wants to test out zaha and Nani up there to see if the fit the system, if not I'd say they are off
