Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

You guys are my real friends, I was referring to all of you. <3

But in all seriousness, it will be wedged with very drunken college students. There wouldn't be enough room if it was to be had there.

I voted for Longstone and Sweetmans. Club Hell is fine but I go there and get stuck to the floor with my mates from time to time, it gets messy... And no way I'll be going to the Czech Inn

Tbh I'm sure wherever it will be it will be great. It all comes down to people...

    Ah get over it! :P

I just can't stomach it since the dreadful ad, one of the most cringeworthy things I've seen. The place has gone arseways.

Haven't been there in years, I'll go where ever it's on and have fun no matter. :D

Just voted for D2. Messrs/Sweetmans seems to be enjoying a commanding lead at the moment. Of course I expect there'll be a surge of support for D2 now that I've expressed my preference for it.

Must now go and bump up my Musicians Wanted ad for about the hundredth time. Is there suddenly a shortage of guitarists and keyboard players in Dublin or is it just me? On second thoughts don't answer that.

Indeed, €3.60 for a pint is a bargain in the city centre.

Theres a reason its that cheap. The place is awful! Also, I wouldnt choose it for a beers, especially not on halloween, the place will be absolutely packed, no chance of having a chat etc. Which kind of defeats the purpose of a beers

Agreed it does attract a big crowd with the prices and wouldn't be suitable for these sort of beers.

I've been to loads of boards beers there and they've always been the best nights. If you get the seating area between the toilets and the smoking area you're sorted. The music isn't as loud there and most people are either in the main part or out in the smoking area, people don't generally tend to randomly stand around that area unless they're with a group who's sitting there.

Nah boardsies are cute and have beards and what not. Anywho I love dressing up and now it's going to be hard to distinguish how I should approach this one. Scary, sexy or drag. Maybe combine the three ;)

Sweeneys on Dame Street has a live jazz/swing band on Sundays from about 6.30/7.
