Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

So thought it would be an interesting one to look at seeing as the Ukranian league started up again last week. Now Shakhtar Donetsk seem to be having some difficulty attracting some of their bigger names to return given what's happening in that part of the world at the moment.

At the moment they have Shakhtar Donetsk and Metalurh Donetsk playing their home matches in Lviv (near the Polish border) and Zorya Luhansk playing theirs in Zaporizhia (in the middle of the country). The two Crimean based teams, FC Sevastopol and Tavriya Simferopol have been kicked out of the league and are seemingly applying to join the Russian system.

Shakhtar and Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk are in the Champions League and Metalist Kharkiv and Dynamo Kiev are in the Europa League. Now UEFA are keeping Russian and Ukranian teams separate which seems like a sensible precaution but I wonder how some of the other European teams might feel about travelling to Ukraine to play their games.

If they are playing in the West of Ukraine I cant imagine any European team complaining although I cant imagine matches being played in Doentsk. Didnt Spurs play Dnipro last year in the Ukraine during the middle of the rebellion.

Also speaking of violence Isreal teams are banned from playing home matches in European competition in Isreal at the moment Maccabi Tel Aviv and Iroini Kiryat Shomna are playing their home matches in Cyprus next week.
