Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi Guys,

Our Club is thinking about starting hurling training as we know there is local interest. The only thing stopping us is the cost of helmets etc.

We, being a football club, didn't realise how expensive hurling helmets were and as the training would only be a sort of "trial", we don't want to spend loads of money.

Does anyone have any advice? Or where we can get cheap helmets?

    (I) Try your local Bord Na NoG. They just might provide a grant.
    (2) Try if you have one, the Local Schools Board also as they might provide a grant.
    (3) Ask your local business's to sponsor one helmet, one sliother or one hurley or if they are big enough for all three. We actually managed to get over 40 Hurleys, 20 helmets and 50 sliothers this way and sold them at half price and bought more with the proceeds.
