Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Typical Wellbeck there, doesn't know what to do in those positions. Good first half from United overall

Off injured but was excellent up until then.

Can't see teams running through United like last year.

The whole set up of the team is simply a joy.

The players really do look a whole lot more confident on the ball since LVG has come in. Thank fup Moyes is gone.

That was not a Rooney goal, it was an Ashley Young super strike.

Best I've seen United play in a long time. We rarely played this type of fluid pass-and-move football in SAF's final couple of years.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,177 ✭✭✭TheTownie

Think this quote sums up what LVG is doing with Young.
    Mohamed Moallim ‏@iammoallim 5m
Hugo Borst (biographer): "LvG will surprise you with good football - always does - can make a pie from turd".

Unfortunately Valencia is a step too far, even for LVG.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,799 ✭✭✭FortuneChip

    Real Madrid are EVENS!
I couldn't back them because it would be dirty... but EVENS!
Meanwhile, Man Utd are 23/10, meaning if you put €10 on, you'll get nothing back!

    ^^^ this guy! Joker!

Valencia's only option now is to beat the Monsters in a game of basketball on space mountain

    We might beat these Spaniards...

Yep still the same old stuff from Valencia - just terribly predictable.

I think he has something special within him (somewhere...) and it looks like LVG is giving everyone a fair crack of the whip. Like I said a lot to prove.

......and unlike Bebe, he was scouted out before being bought.

I've managed to miss the first half. From the comments here I assume United have played well? Herrera's getting some criticism over in the Guardians coverage. How has he done?

  • Registered Users Posts: 33,755 ✭✭✭✭RobertKK

I'm telling you, Ronaldo returns in the summer of 2015.

He has put in great tackles and was annoymous at times but is improving all the time.

Not just Spaniards, they're Champions League winners.

Let's see what teams the throw out it the second half, great game so far, Utd can actually pass the ball, who knew

£7 for Bebe vs £15m for Zaha, both untested at the highest level, I think Zaha may have it in his locker, lets see if LvG will give him some decent game time this season.

True enough about the scouting Bebe, I wonder does he know he's a Utd legend for all the wrong reasons.:p

Phil Jones was looking back with the horror face after he partially blocked the shot. Great move by Bale to set it up. Great save by De Gea.

  • Registered Users Posts: 33,755 ✭✭✭✭RobertKK

Blackett will get a number of games for United this season IMO.

That's what Paddy said just before going back to commentary - he said he spoke to Wayne this morning, he is delighted with the new setup and he told him of a player we are suppose to be sighing.

The yanks would love that scenario to play out, pre season final against Liverpool, time to stick the boot in early. :D
