Cheers, always wondered about that but never had the patience to test it.

Is a green herb the same health regen as a blue and green mixed?

Is a green mixed the same as two individudal greens?

Still can't work out what the first aid boxes do.

  • Registered Users Posts: 10,870 ✭✭✭✭Generic Dreadhead

    2 Greens = 1 green x2
    1 Green and 1 Red = 3 x Green (or 1 first aid spray)
Blue only cures poison, does not stack curing abilities in anyway.

"Examine" the first aid boxes from a top-down view. They open to reveal herbs or sprays.

Examine it, open it and there'll be a first aid spray inside.

You have to examine at a certain angle though, it caught me out the first time.

Thanks, I read somewhere that a green and blue mixed also had double physical health regen of a green herb (as well as curing poison of course).

Hah, I examined every way but from top down (lock etc).

As it should be, I'm glad gaming has improved no end since this originally came out. So this run is a mixed bag; it's amazing being back in the mansion, but there's other stuff I don't miss, like how a key takes up the same space as a shotgun! Also needing a space to combine herbs. The game is dripping with atmosphere, I love the camera angles and the remake additions like zombies banging against the window. It's an upscaled port but it's still gorgeous in a classic way.

Any tips on fighting dogs? I seem to get bitten a lot.

I always use the shotgun on them. They're too annoying to use the handgun on them.

Loving this. Exactly what I want out of a Resident Evil game. So eerie and atmospheric.

Real survivor mode isn't too bad once you get used to it. Just dump everything in the east storeroom in the mansion.

Anyone know where to get the helmet mansion key cant remember!??

The clock in the dining room.

You need to leave the mansion to get to it.

Do you have any stone/metal hexagon crests? They have a red tinge and one can be used to unlock the back door.

Difficult to know exactly where you are though. Have you still use for any of the keys you are using?

The cabin where you encounter the
    woman in chains?

Is that your first time there?

Have you got the crank yet and
drained the basin allowing you to cross the bridge to the guardhouse?

You need to take the other path to get to the guardhouse.

The crank is in the cabin (at the back( - once you pick it up you will trigger an encounter with your wan!

Leg it back the way you came and then use the crank to drain the river and cross it to get to the guardhouse.

Uurrrghhh I didn't know it was crossplay for the first two weeks on psn. Today was day 14 so I legged it to Smyth's and got home at half 5. Seen it was still marked as crossplay on the store so redeemed the 20 squid card and tried to download.

'This content cannot be selected at this time'

So I headed to the website and searched for resident evil. Found the ps3 version and downloaded it. Thinking I was super smart and beat the lockout ha ha.
It was stuck on 0% for hours. Just checked it and its at 25% and its on the store as not cross play. I only rushed buying as I figured I would like to replay it on ps4 and 20 quid would be a bargain. Now instead I have just the ps3 version that I would have ratherd as a physical copy.

Lame. This life story was brought to you by me. Meh.

Surely an essential purchase - Is the HD upgrade as polished as Resi 1?

Spent way too much time in the gardens, heading back in now and not looking forward to what's coming. i fear my 96 handgun bullets will be useless.

Depending on difficulty and luck you can deal with what's coming up with one magnum bullet each.

Ah i have about 20 shotgun bullets, 18 grenades and 12 magnum bullets but don't like using the big guns but i think now is the time. Think I'll actually go a bit rambo .

Shotty should be your primary weapon from now on especially with the place crawling with hunters.
