Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Frustrating night for Cote. Thompson's movement really frustrated him and couldn't close the distance at all. Kept guessing all the time.

serious lack of agression in them two fights I thought, not a prayer of an inch given in the main events thankfully.

You can't imagine the mcgregor or cerrone fights being as timid for the finish which is partially why they are top billing and what fans want to watch.

Yeah exactly theres a reason why them lads were on the prelims,

Only 4 fights till Conor and Dustin cant wait to see his entrance.

"Thompson let him off the hook" says Joe. Hard to disagree with that, the knockout was in the palm of his hand.

Yup, was hoping he'd finish it after the punch that knocked Cote down. He deserved the win but was strange to see him hold back where other fighters would have gone for the knockout/tko

Irish contingent in good voice already.

Joe Rogan " Ladies and gentleman if you hear chanting in the Crowd it's the irish"

Always causing trouble that lot :D

my brother is at it, his seat didnt exist when he arrived... got a major upgrade and is almost on the flat of the venue and is right beside the walk out path. Said it didnt sell out and they didnt open a section or something... nice little break! Ronda Rousey sitting just in front of them... :)

Should be a victory for Masvidal.

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 134 ✭✭blackbelt1

Masvidal just too good there never really looked like finishing krause though hope to see some ruthlessness in the bouts to come, nobody stealing the show so far anyways as expected.

What a come back fight for Cruz! You could say he was in 'Cruz' Control from the off it was so clinical :D

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,733 ✭✭✭bigron2109

Excellent performance by Cruz. Must feel great having been laid off for so long to come back and win so convincingly. Thought the ref could have stopped the fight a couple of punches earlier though.

Cruz's return is one of my favourite moments of the year second to seeing my first UFC event live in Dublin.

    Incredible. Absolutely delighted for Cruz.

Would love to see Barao/Cruz for a title shot. There's nobody else for Dillishaw to fight though so it might come down to whoever is healthy at the right time.

    cheers lad

I'm on the coffee now, almost drifted off, that fight brought me back....!

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 134 ✭✭blackbelt1

there is no way in hell TJ would roll over like Mizugaki there,I like the idea of a contender fight between barao and cruz that would be epic loser fights faber.

Cruz and Faber rematch is something I don't really wanna see again but Barao would make sense in a title eliminator fight.

Id most likely cry myself to sleep.

10% of the ticket sales for the event coming from Ireland is crazy, thats some great support for Conor to have over there. Seen the weigh ins and videos of people cheering around the MGM but they dont do the Irish contingent gone over justice.

I really like Cowboy, always been one of my favourites, but Alvares looks good for this. I think I'll have to have to say Alvares.

Nope you need to sign up for the ppv on ufc.tv - fight pass gives you the prelims and fight night events. This is a main UFC card so wont be on there.
