Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back a page or two to re-sync the thread and this will then show latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hi everyone, a friend of mine had his bike stolen in Harolds Cross last Friday night from outside his house.

A 94 black and red/wine Honda Steed 400cc, it's a rare enough bike in Dublin anyway so if anyone see's it knocking about let me know please.

Sorry I don't have a picture or Reg to give out, I just thought there's no harm to post it on here just in case.

    Thanks.

I am just wondering are all these bikes stolen ending up in a container and going east?

probably! might wind up in breakers yards here, or even just in the UK though too. Would say typically raced bikes would be candidates for that, as demand for spares for them would be reasonably high

bikes stolen to be used as getaways too I'd say

I'd say it depends on the bike. Newer bikes, exported. Older ones that are easy to steal, rallied around fields.

Its unbelievably easy to stick a load of bikes and parts in a van and drive straight through Holyhead and away......
    Customs me hole...........
