Will €12.70 charges incurred as a result of BOI's recent technical issue be refunded automatically?

The specific circumstances are as follows:

    - Two BOI accounts linked on 365 Online. Payment lands in one account on the last day of every month. Funds are then transferred into the second account from which a loan repayment is taken. As payment didn't hit the first account, funds were transferred a day late into the second account and the loan repayment was late coming out. A €12.70 charge has been levied.

    Hi Larry Wildman,

Thanks for contacting us here on Boards.

Sorry to hear you experienced this delay in payment. As this unpaid fee on your account is as a result of the payment delay, you are entitled to a refund. Please contact your branch to arrange this and a representative there will be happy to arrange for a refund to be made.

Please find the contact details for your branch here

Please let us know if you need help with any other query.

    Thanks,
    Sarah

Can you guarantee the OP that this missed payment will not be recorded on his credit history and if it does that BOI rectify this with the ICB?
