convert a pdf document to word?

    We use bluebeam and it has an option to export as a word doc. There might be a free pdf reader that will do the same.

    Not sure what version of word you have but in 2013 I can just open the PDF with word and it converts it automatically.

    The first time it converts it opens as read only. You click Enable Editing and it converts it a second time, this time the document can be edited.

    it says that its a locked or secured file :(

    The owner of the file can unlock it. You could try using google drive (step 3 in the following link): http://www.wikihow.com/Unlock-a-Secure-PDF-File

    You could try uploading / converting to google drive.

    In options ensure that "Convert uploaded files" is checked and it should convert the pdf to a google doc format. Then it's just a case of selecting File - Download as - .docx

    Google Drive has a bit of OCR (optical character recognition), in that if there's just text it will try to convert it to selectable text. If it can't it will just convert the page as an image embedded in a document.
