Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Games Design Course Interview Questions

    Hi guys

A relative is attending a Games Design Course Interview soon and she's just asked me to have a look into possible interview questions on her behalf, aside from the usual 'Why games design', 'what do you have to offer' and 'what do you hope to get out of the course' type questions.

Any help or heads up would be greatly appreciated

    Cheers

    :)

Like any interview I think the interviewee should have a little bit of knowledge about the course and it's contents. To be honest I think she's worrying about nothing, it's just a stock thing to do to see if you're not going to waste their time and learn that you do actually have a keen interest in the course material.

As you stated there's going to be the old staples like, "why did you choose this course / what attracted you to this course (or college) / what do you want to get out of it?". Just be ready with an honest answer (ie, nothing too rehearsed!).

    Yeah, was thinking that.

Told her to just wax lyrical about the games she likes, the companies and developers she knew about etc

    Thanks for the reply dude!

Or she could watch Indie Game: The Movie! Great documentary and might give her a few tips / insights. I hate interviews of any kind so can sympathise with any jitters. I'm sure it'll be grand though.
