Is there a difference between a Beard & Stubble Trimmer?

Any recommendations for a stubble trimmer?

    Bump.

A friend recommended Argus for a trimmer. Apparently getting a ttrimmer with half settings - 1, 1.5, 2 etc is important.

    Unfortunately, I'm a bit clueless.

    Could someone advise ??

Also interested in this as I can't grow a full beard(no beard on cheeks, just on chin, neck, upper lip and side burns).

Been told the bit of stubble I have looks good so I want to keep it but dunno where to start. Face looks too naked after a full shave and if I leave it grow it looks ridiculous....so any suggestions to trim it down to a shadow?

    Cheers...

Well after some considerable time using a venerable BaByliss stubble trimmer (at least, I think it was sold as a stubble trimmer, but it's been a long while...) I have plumped for a Wahl Lithium Ion stubble trimmer. STG 26.99 from Amazon

The old one had five settings, which were achieved by use of an adjustable guard, none of which was really short enough and meant you were trimming every two days - more trouble than shaving!

The new one is the dog's you-know-whats and comes recommended

    Just a quick question:
    oil for these?

    Where can you buy it?
How often need they be oiled?
