Peter Jackson attempting to make high-framerate a thing. I saw the first Hobbit movie like this and I couldn't get over how much the Shire now looked like Emmerdale on UTV.

In fairness, it was hardly the worst decision as they made it available in the regular framerate and it made a boatload of money anyway...

Gladiators. The ITV show in the 90's was brilliant. Sky tried to bring it back last year and it was terrible.

I dont think it would be a problem if those 3 female leads were of a standard that matched the original actors in the first two films.

Melissa McCarthy isnt of that standard. Melissa McCarthy isnt even in the same continent of that standard.

    She was great in Bridesmaids.

I agree though, bad in everything else.

I think she's one of those actresses who given a really good script & tight direction can turn out a pretty decent performance. Some people can shine even within lesser quality work but she isn't one of them.

Whoever gave kim kardashian and her stupid family a tv show. I'm sick of the sight of each and every one of them

Exactly what I was going to type.

It was designed to be a pisstake but the studio took it seriously and put Arnie in it.

Plus the final nail in the coffin. it was due to be released the same week as a Spielberg film. Spielberg hadn't had a huge hit in a while and it was a strange film he was making so the studio weren't worried about it. "Who wants to watch a load of Dinosaurs" was the quote I believe.

Last Action Hero was way ahead of it's time, some of the jokes in it are genius. Arnie is totally in on the joke sending up his own screen persona and Charles Dance is just amazing as the villain.
"I've shot somebody and I did it on purpose!" It's a brilliant pastiche on the 80's/90's action movie genre but in a good way, and Shane Black's script did postmodern movie references long before Scream made it a thing. but alas since it came out at the same time as a little film about dinosaurs it was doomed to fail at the box office. I'll forever sing it's praises though.

but it's no Demolition Man :pac:

Sandra Bullock and Sequels: her career survived Speed 2 and Miss Congeniality 2 on the way to an Oscar for The Blind Side, and she just turned 50, so by this point she can do whatever the heck she likes. Next up: The Heat 2, again with Melissa McCarthy of Ghostbusters 3 fame-to-be.

Ye Hypocrites, are these your pranks
To murder men and gie God thanks?
Desist for shame, proceed no further
God won't accept your thanks for murder.

Taken 2. The first movie was fantastic from start to finish. The second played out like a short story written by a fifteen year old in his Junior Cert English exam.

What's even worse is they are making a Taken 3.

It's not like the industry is ignoring the internet regardless.

Rejecting this theme as a Bond song and instead going with Jack White and Alicia Keys (which sounded like a TV movie)

They even mixed in quote from Casino Royale at 2:28, that gives a context as to why Bond is a loose canon in this film
and how was destroyed for the first and last time by the only woman he ever loved
and is out for revenge in this one.

Turned out to the best console at the end but this was a great summary (out of context summary) of the launch.

Kaz Hirai, this man now runs Sony and the Playstation is the one division doing well in a company in junk status.

I had to switch it off. Ive rarely, rarely had to do that with a film. Its one of the worst movies of the last 20 years.

I think the script for Taken 2 was written by the accountants after they'd finished calculating the profits from the first one.

The change of cert from 17/18 to PG 13 absolutely killed it. Terrible decision

The writers of 'Lost' deciding that making it up as you go along was a good course of delivering a story and tying up all those loose ends.

What do you mean? Bit of a strange one at times (Snoop Lion how are ye?) but back in the 90s he was one of the best things about hip hop. Listen to Doggystyle, still holds up as an essential album of the genre imo. Even today he's still capable of almost effortless greatness. He contributed a throw away, bubblegum rap verse to Katy Perry's "California Gurls" a few years back that was almost certainly dashed off in about 5 minutes but was still better than just about anything Drake or Lil' Wayne have put out in their careers.

I'm still sore over that to this day.

They hooked you in with so many interesting mysteries in the first 2 seasons but the world eventually became so nonsensical that the answers to those mysteries gave no satisfaction.

A great show let down by a terrible last season. Too many questions asked and not enough time or the know how to answer them all.

I believe the writer of the Games Of Thrones calls it "pulling a Lost" when you make a balls of a good concept in TV now :pac:

Letting Jimmy Savile have a tv show.
Letting Rolph Harris host a classic cartoon tv show in which he drew the cartoon characters between the cartoons, on children's tv in the same era of Jimmy Saville.

Who ever produced Riverdance and provided the platform for Michael Flatley needs shot.

Annoyingly he's made hundreds of millions from Orish mythology twee that's been milked to death over more than 20 years and still going strong. The world would be done a favour if his legs disappeared.

Not finishing Deadwood, the shower of fvcks!

One of HBO's greatest failures. They always went against public opinion and created artwork, except in the case of Deadwood, they pussied out

Remakes of 80's films. They will never capture the non-politically correct ham acted bloodthirstiness of a genuine 80's movie with its subplot of an unquenchable thirst for revenge. Robocop - a creature of thoughts and memories out for revenge. Predator - a musclebound killer out for revenge against an alien that croaked his friends.

Hunger Games - a pussy version of the Running Man, where an ex-con is out for revenge against the TV network.

Coldplay allowing Brian Eno to produce them. Say what you want about coldplay, but they were a proper rock band before the bastard turned them into a commercially viable pop band for teenagers.

They didn't and couldn't but it was still (albeit with the benefit of hindsight) a mistake.

The raping and pillaging the once fantastic The Simpsons by dragging its memory through the mud before letting it die on its feet, all the while continuously flogging it with a stick for easy cash.

Had they put it to rest after its golden years its memory would have been preserved and it would be revered as one of the greatest sitcoms, ever. Now the number of terrible episodes outnumber the great.

Adding a prologue to Dark City with a VoiceOver explaining what's supposed to be the big twist late in the film.

Sam Raimi apparently being pressured into adding Venom to Spider-man 3, over stuffing the film and doing nothing interesting with the character. Which also led to the dull, charmless newer films.

The treatment of three characters from Aliens at the beginning of Alien 3.

Making sequels to The Matrix when the film worked perfectly on its own.

Changing the ending of The Vanishing for the remake.

    Stopping at Bates' Motel.

Not making an Uncharted movie with Nathan Fillion as Drake and Bruce Campbell as Sully
    Tricia Helfer as Elena

    So.... non events basically
