Yup.. seems ok so far but might take another jump in about an hour.

you missed your shot. dropped to 1.14 this morning, has recovered to near 1.16 again now

market has already taken into account that this was happening. there won't be any major drops i'd imagine, not next few days at least. next potential drop would be when one of the unknowns get known, like when the EU starts stating it's position/terms

Best thing to do is use a revolut card and top up when you feel it's at it's lowest ebb, then take your time with the orders.

Not the usual hardware discussion, but we got a miele c3 cat and dog vacuum cleaner recently, its awesome! I think its only 1200W but can't physically move it on carpet when suction is set to the max! Bags work out about a pound a bag on Amazon, lasting about 2 months per bag. No trying to clean out filters etc like we had on the ****ty VAX bagless one we had.

Amazon.de, Amazon. fr, and Amazon.se have 850 Evo's listed but not one of them post to Ireland...ffs, what's all that about?

Could have sworn I bought from Amazon.de before. Maybe I used PM. :o

Seem much the same as the UK site price wise.

They will ship to parcel motel usually if they won't ship here directly (Amazon themselves, not resellers)

Good idea, though I'm more inclined to use Parcel Wizard, not a fan of PM anymore. Is it safe enough to go that route, as in, will Amazon.de/fr/se have an issue seeing the 3rd party address?

They won't ship to Ireland either. So that's England, Germany, Spain & France Amazon's leaving us out...very odd

So it would appear, that's a bit of a pain alright. Can always use PM/Adress Pal/Parcel wizard I suppose but it adds a few euros on to the cost of course.

Someone posted up a supposedly new 850 Evo 250GB on the "selling your own gear" thread if it's any good to you.

Seems to be the only way to go with this ssd, whatever Amazon are up to.

    Yeah see that, it's here - http://www.adverts.ie/hard-drives/samsung-850-evo-250gb/12586740

Dunno, not gone on the idea of a used ssd...plus they're €120 brand new here in a b&m store so not a fantastic saving (no offence to the op).

Yeah that was also my thinking.

Would you consider the Crucial SSDs? They're better value for money.

Everything I'm reading about SSD's is telling me the 850 Evo is the way to go. Think I'll just go the Parcel Wizard route. The problem is, Amazon tend to not go lightly when it comes to boxes! My Core V1 arrived in a box I could nearly live in :D

Are the Crucial SSD's rated well yeah?

Im skeptical that the longevity is there with them. Fair few Re-allocs on a low write one. Also their management software sucks big time.

From my understanding they'd be second to the samsung but I've had no issues with mine so far. I got a good deal on it in the black friday sales, £85 for the 525GB I think it was. (It's £135 now for the same unfortunately)

It was the good folks on here that talked me into going for it over the samsung, and double the capacity of the samsung for the same price seemed a no brainer. Savings wouldn't be as good now obviously so you might have more piece of mind with the samsung.

Looking at komplet, Its nearly cheaper to go with them over mind factory.

Looking at komplet, Its nearly cheaper to go with them over mind factory.

€104 + €10 (€114) delivery for the 250GB...I'd prob just go with Elara at that rate (€117.85 & collection from Parkwest).

Decided to hold off ordering from any of the .de/.fr/.es shops for now. Have a few bits ordered & pending, so will wait until they all arrive & see what the story is again in a few weeks.

I ordered 16GB 2666 ram from Amazon there at the start of March, with Ascendia being the carrier. Typically, and predictably, it never showed up (I find them a woeful carrier, and I'm not alone by the looks of it). The price dropped in the interim, & Amazon said they can't send me a replacement order AND refund me the difference at the same time, and that I had to get a full refund & re-order manually, which I did. Just checked the carrier for the replacement order, yup, Ascendia again

Have an embarrisingly expensive mobo coming from Amazon.de (Asrock Fatal1ty Gaming EX-Z270/AC coming in @ €198 versus 204 Sterling from the UK equivalent... Pricey, but a good saving going with Amazon.de on that one.)

7700K from Amazon.fr coming in at €358, which seems a reasonable price compared to 340/350 Sterling from Amazon & Overclockers respectively.

So will wait until all that lands before procuring an 850 Evo, and then all's I need is a GPU. Am thinking a 1070 should see me safely gaming in 1080/60 for the forseeable future without needing an upgrade.

Lads, where would you recomend to have a look for gaming laptop?

I am checking usual suspects like amazon. Overclockers and scan look very damn expensive.

Laptopsdirect has decent prices, but are they legit?

Pcspecialist due nice custom laptops and prices look pretty good. A good chunk can be saved if removing windows and then nust doing non activated windows trick.

Anywhere else I can have a look lads?

I know you want new but you can pick up some serious bargains from CeX UK website using parcel motel if you keep an eye out.

Actually just ordered an MSI i7 970m from there this evening myself for £590

Edit: 2 year warranty too for everything from them.

Dell have really good deals on. Not sure if the €100 off is still going but they had i5-7300HQ, 8GB DDR4, SSD+HDD and GTX1050 for 899.

    Also had i7-7700HQ, 16GB, ssd/Hdd and GTX1050Ti for 1099.

Just ordered the Zotac GeForce GTX 1080Ti AMP Extreme Spectre RGB

What size laptops? Do you have any link for it, I know you mentioned it before, but when I tried finding myself I couldnt, dell site is a bit of disaster.

It's worth giving the dell outlet (both UK and Irish) a call too, sometimes cracking deals on there.
