Dude why don't you just youtube some of the names, there is quite a lot of big headliners in there, loads of clips from various festivals upped on youtube, you are your best judger, think for yourself, look at the clips and follow your heart with the sounds.

If you want to get into it, you got to get out of it. (Hawkwind 1982)

It's not the headliners i'm worried about (I've now removed all the names i know)

There's 203 bands left in that list - Just thought i'd throw it open if anyone had seen any of them before and thought they'd be worth checking out.

You've never heard (off the top of my head) the Manic Street Preachers, the Prodigy, Wild Beasts, Lily Allen, Jake Bugg, Miles Kane, Placebo, Palma Violets, Jagwar Ma, Madness!, or The Kooks?

Anyway, they're most of the acts I know there, as said before, Youtube dude.

I'm not mad about the Prodigy or the Manic Street Preachers anymore but guaranteed great live.

Just go and check out bands you've never heard of. Your situation is a great way to discover bands you've never heard. Just go from stage to stage

If you're looking for an insider tip: The Bosshoss

Here's some footage I took in Dublin when they were here:
    www.youtube.com/watch?v=IIc18_b9a40

Also check out their (own) songs "Rodeo Radio" and "Mary, marry me" on Youtube if you are still not convinced. They are German, even though they speak thick southwestern american accents during their shows (just for the craic).

Beside them I'd personally go see Lily Allen, the Prodigy and die fantastischen 4. Fanta4 is German-language hip hop/rap though, so I'm not sure if they are entertaining for people not understanding the lyrics.
