Looks like sturridge is out for 6 weeks.

It's a pity. I'm not particularly fussed about him but Sterling would have been a good option.

Poor old Benny Rodgers is having the season from hell.

i wouldn't rule out Sterling playing up front. the way things have been going, its something Rogers may consider

Can't see why he bought Lambert if he didn't want to give him a run when the chance presents itself.

They really should have paid the 19 mil for Bony.

Lambert is more the direct option for me, in a throw him on late if a goal is needed situation. i think that's precisely what Rogers bought him for, so would be surprised to see him given starts and lead the line. But you never know, desperate times and all that

He's the only proven PL goal scorer they have available. He has to be given a chance IMO.

Remy is the one that got away imo. He would've been ideal for what they need can play down the middle when sturridge is out or out wide if sturridge plays. I just dont see them going with lambert and Mario no great pace between the both of them and not really a team that crosses to ball to utilise lambert.

So Sakho is now also showing up as injured on the FPL site - a back injury with a 75% chance of playing.

Wish I still had my wildcard to play now...:(

This is sh!t! Did summit happen sakho tonight on international duty I wonder? Doubt he would start the game at the weekend anyway because Coming back from Senegal tomorrow.

    Need help with this

    McCarthy sub GK - Red
    Hutton Def - Red
    Baines Def - Yellow
    Wilson Def - Yellow
    Fabregas Mid - Yellow
    Di Maria Mid - Yellow
    Sakho Fwd - Yellow

Who should I get rid of? Who will most likely play the weekend?

Maybe you should change your team colours to playing in yellow?

All your outfield players could yet end up playing. Huttons marked red but it says on FPL that he's due back this gameweek. Leave it til tomorrow at least. It looks like no one will drop tonight. Fabregas may be at risk of dropping tomorrow night though. We might know a bit more by then anyway.

I think Baines is quite likely to play, but that's just a hunch. Same for Cesc. And McCarthy is presumably your non-playing backup keeper, so no need to worry about changing him.

I'd be waiting for the press conf on Friday, and any bit of info you get could save you a transfer.

Starting to feel better about my 3 yellows now :pac:

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,083 ✭✭✭Chesty08

    Held off lads!

Cesc might get shipped off today. I will be keeping Baines anyway

Any update on Wilson my second expensive defender at 4.5m? Might move on him to get a better defender

held onto him for this game so hope he plays then he is out the door for yun or Azpi depending on what way I go in midfield next week

I'm a lot happier about my two yellows after seeing Chesty's post.

Both Azpi and Yun are on my radar!

But mother of god I really havent a clue what moves to make, the fear of taking someone out and him playing vs the fear of not taking a player out and then him not playing.

Too many injuries. Don't know where to start & who to ship out.

One positive, at least I have made plenty feel better about their injury list

Coloccini to miss at least 3 games. Pardew hopes to have him back for Chelsea

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,400 ✭✭✭TacT

    well this is painful.

    Baines
    Downing
    Di Maria
    Fabregas
    Hutton

are all doubtful for the weekend leaving me with Campbell and Moore as my only available subs and already on -4.

Looks like anyone that's able to field 11 players (without a hit) will be doing well!

  • Registered Users Posts: 532 ✭✭✭Arbitrary

ADM, Downing, Sakho, Coloccini and I just shipped out Baines on my FT.

I'll re-evaluate tomorrow on whether or not to take a 4 point hit, if ADM or Downing start, I can afford to hold off.

May use my transfer to get King out for a better third sub. Is it too risky to take a punt on Brady?

available according to that Dinnery chap. but Villa missing Vlaar Baker and Senderos so wouldn't be too hopeful of a clean sheet. have Guzan myself

Southampton have scored in 12 out of 14 fixtures (home and away), even with a fully fit Villa back line, I still wouldn't be hopeful of a CS.

    Huzzah, good news fitness fans!!

Ben Hamer has been cleared to resume his place on the bench as Leicester's 2nd choice keeper as his finger has healed. Now if De Gea has something similar happen that'd be great.

Looks like he'll be fine, though not officially confirmed.

Falcao out for another two weeks. It's a joke what United are paying him.

Matt Upson nearing a return for Leicester so more trouble for Liam Moore.

Hmm, that changes my medium term plans, was looking at leaving my options open to fit Falcao in over the next couple of weeks.

Confirmation Hutton will play v Saints and the vlaar and Senderos injuries.

Sakho is more or less a cert to miss out judging from this comment. Still no confirmation on Downing.

Allardyce "Sakho woke up with a back spasm & couldn’t get out of bed. Coming back on a long flight didn’t help things"

Lot of varying rumours about Downings injury. Latest news I can find is from Big Sam after the match (from WUFC Official linked on FFS) indicating nothing too serious.

    http://www.whufc.com/articles/20141122/big-sam-baffled-by-everton-reverse_2236884_4320082

Finally, the manager was asked about the five absent players - Diafra Sakho, Alex Song, Enner Valencia, Cheikhou Kouyate and Stewart Downing - and whether any or all would be fit to return against Newcastle.
Senegal pair Sakho and Kouyate and England midfielder Downing all returned from international duty with knocks, while Song and Valencia are nursing injuries suffered in training.
"We hope they are not too long or too serious,"
he said. "It's the worst international break I've had in my time at West Ham United."

You need to be careful with what Sam says. A few weeks back Ben Dinnery pointed out that Sakho had no chance of making the Stoke game but Sam made suggestions that he would to fool the opposition.

It appears that he's following Mourinho tactics.
