Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Brilliant advantage from the referee.

Good shout, great out pass from wilshere to send Alexis away. Alexis sanchez.

    Ramsey is a Genius.

Some turnaround, still some hope for Cleverley.

Yeah, early days but wouldn't fancy him at RB!

Called it yesterday. No surprise, having watched him on the pre season tour and having seen him play ''in the flesh'' a few times. Painfully out of his depth.

Lads I'm literally getting up off the chair everytime Sanchez gets the ball :pac:

    Playing very well.
Happy with Sanchez and Sanogo but a bit worried by Debuchy as he seems to lack pace.

Ya, he was Paul McShane levels of bad against Dundee. Should be nowhere near the first team.

    Great first half.

Sanchez, Cazorla, Ramsey, Debuchy and Kos have been excellent.

It really can't be a coincidence we look so much more dangerous without Giroud.

    Put 20 on arsenal. Kerching.

Why are they all sitting in the stand? They needed a run out before we play Newcastle next weekend. Even for 45 minutes. We might still have lost today; fine. It happens. But those lads need to get some game time in their legs. And yes; I'm fully aware that Negredo is injured.

Will there be any British players in City's starting 11 if Pelligrini sides with Caballero? Am I missing someone else?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,500 ✭✭✭Fuzzy_Dunlop

Alexis really does add an entirely different dimension to what we saw most of last season. His decision making let him down a couple of times but great pass to Sanogo for the second goal and very close to getting through at the end.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,382 ✭✭✭✭greendom

How much easier it is to attack with pace.Sanchez is brilliant to watch. That's what we missed so much last season. Also Sanogo proving he will have an important role with the squad this season.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,382 ✭✭✭✭greendom

The first touch by Ramsey to make room for himself was sublime

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,209 ✭✭✭Redzer7

Giroud on probably for Sanogo, hope it doesn't change the way we counter attack.

Delighted with the performance but our strength on the bench is also exciting me. Even with the Germans away we still have the likes of Giroud, Ox and Campbell available today. What a welcome change.......(and to think Walcott to come back too).

    Giroud on for 2nd half?

That first touch by Ramsey for his goal is just sublime. He really is a joy to watch.

He has been awful, but it's your midfield that's letting us through every time, and it's not lacking in star men today.

For the first time in a long time not only will we have players battling for a spot in the first 11 but secondary players battling it out to even make it onto the bench.

Nacho and Chambers at CB for the second half and Silva on. Can see City scoring now

  • Registered Users Posts: 201 ✭✭Paj

Nacho is not a centre half :(

I doubt it. Say they're just easing him in

Who else came on apart from Monreal and Giroud?

If anything, a loss from this position will surely light a fire under arses in terms of getting some defensive bodies in.

    Ox

I hate when Monreal plays at all nevermind at CB :-(

Ramsey is certainly continuing where he left off last year. What a player.

Pretty clear sagna is the better defender.

Can't judge it just on this game in fairness to him.

No Merlin (up until now), no Fernandinho (vital to the team) and no Fernando (both would offer some protection to our weak back 4). Yaya putting in one of his ''can't be arsed'' performances today, and Samir NEVER plays well against Arsenal.

Disappointed campbell won't get to have a run today

I'm judging him on his Newcastle time aswell.

Lot of arsenal fans delighted for sagna to go thinking we would get some nice improvement there.

Certainly not gonna be the case.

Maybe about 3 or 4 years ago Sagna has been a shadow of his former self in recent seasons, had no problem with him leaving.

Whether Debuchy is an upgrade or not time will tell but far to soon to making statements like that.
