Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back a page or two to re-sync the thread and this will then show latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Quick Q about motorcycle test - insurance docs?

    Hi all

I can't for the life of me find my insurance documentation and the test is early this week. I've read the following on the RSA.ie website
The Driver Tester will begin by asking to see your learner permit and will ask you to sign a form stating that the motorcycle is both roadworthy and insured.

I don't want to take that as meaning I don't need and definitely won't be asked to produce my insurance policy for the test. Can any of you confirm if you needed to show insurance documentation or if it was as straight forward as sign to say you are covered.

If needed, I'm going to have to turn this house upside down and if not, I want to use that time to get some practice in :)

Bring your Learner permit, and a reg doc (Log book) for the bike.
No need for ins cert, cos you sign that it is insured.

    ha! Pretty much.

Although i had my bike safe last week so had to move it.
Was kinda funny because i only remembered to move it when i got to the station. And there was a lovely clean circle so you can see exactly where the disc was :D

Had the test today and passed! :D

I wasn't asked for proof - what was said above is spot on - I was only asked to sign to say I had insurance cover.

Thankfully already have a car licence a few years so don't need the N tabbard - but for those of you who do and might be thinking about buying one before the test - they were giving them out at the test centre today to those who pass, so save your money!
