    Hi everyone,
it looks like I might be moving to Athy and I would like some inside info -
what people think about certain estates like blackparks , bleach ( I am still
    wondering why) , ardrew , rathstewart , coneyboro , clonmullin ?
please help as I would like to land somewhere reasonably quiet and child friendly...
few words about primary schools would help too....

spin down for a couple of nights - stay in Clanard Court hotel on the dublin road, have a look around yourself and make your own mind up about the different places / estates.

I'm not from there, but have reason to visit for business regularly and certainly the sports end of things are very very strong for kids.

If you have the money, prusseltown is quite a nice estate on the Kildare road just before the golf club.

    Thanks everyone.....

Why are you moving there ? It has a very good swimming pool, tennis club, gas, rugby clubs, Clanard court is lovely too.

"They are planning to build a bypass" :)

    Planned since 1973!!!

    Estimated completion date 2073!

Traffic is bad at peak times and whenever 2 trucks come opposite each other in the town. But before 8.15 and after 9.30, it not bad. Tuesday is "market" day (don't expect wholesome country food - more hi vis jacket and tools), and this causes traffic issues in the morning.

Its one of the reasons houses on the kilkenny side are better value.

I guess I just will have to learn to 'go with a flow' ...if you can survive it ,means I can too... I hope....

Scoil Mhichil Naofa - anyones kid goes were ? how you drop kid off? were you park ? I am seriously puzzled after

seeing surroundings of school . its close to main street ,but ...

Scoil Phadraig Naofa - I already have one brilliant review on it ...anyone else ? traffc? teachers ? activities?
