Cost of converting from Kerosene Oil to Gas heating?

Can anyone estimate the total cost of changing over? (Roughly)

The oil fired burner is very old and down the end of the garden. It's too expensive to heat the house and will need to be replaced soon anyway.

So I'd be paying for a gas connection to the house, a new gas boiler (a good one), a gas cooker, to power flush out plumbing and rads, and the disposal of the old burner and tank, etc. As well as labour of course.

    Any info/advice is appreciated!

Do you mean to include the price of the gas cooker too?

Yes. Would it add a great amount to the overall cost?

    At least 1,000 I'd say

There are too many makes, models and price ranges to choose from.
It would be simplier, from an installers perspective, for you to choose and purchase the cooker that suits your needs and will fit into the space in your kitchen and let whoever is doing the gas installation fit it for you.

I might stick with an electric cooker.
