UK students studying GEM in Ireland

    Hi All

I am considering applying to Irish GEM next year but since I’m a UK resident I just wanted to ask if there are any UK students who could share their experience and answer my questions below.

From what I gather, offers are given out late July/early August and term starts early September. I was wondering how UK students managed this. Did they just take a gamble and start arranging things early – give notice, find accommodation etc?

Did people manage to visit the universities before applying or was their decisions based on the websites, prospectuses, forums etc? I’m not sure I will be able to attend any of the open days which is crazy I know but I should point out that Irish GEM is plan B (plan A is to study GEM in the UK).

Did any of the UK applicants have any issues with the application process – sending university transcripts etc? Are there any pitfalls I should know about?

Also has anyone managed to enter a F1 programme in the UK after graduation? I can’t see any reason why this shouldn’t be possible but would be eager to hear people’s experience on this.

I have a GAMSAT score of 55 from this year’s March exam and I will be sitting it again in September to hopefully improve that score so I would like to think I stand a good chance at getting in next year to either UL or UCC. So any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks
