Jeff Hardy Swanton bombs his way into the second round. Everyone has made an appearance at this stage. We have seen our winner. The second round has just as many interesting match-ups as the first. You can count on one hand the amount of relatively uninspiring champs left on one hand. 8 Hall of Famers, 17 champs that went on to hold the a WWE world title, 2 sets of brothers, 1 set of “brothers”, 4 continents in the running to have a winner, double-jobbers that remains included a pimp, a pornstar, an Elvis impersonater, and a country singer. Again the round is destined to have a few big name fallers. Can count only one dud draw. A lot of history between many of the match-ups. Round Two first to Four.

Austin gets quite a scare from a guy he would have encountered in WCW, the Dragon bows out after a valiant. Rocky makes easy work of CM Punk who throughout his career was uber entertaining but I guess his title reign suffered from lack of a memorable feud or event. Looks like there is a greater amount of interest now we are at the business end of the tournament but I’ll keep it at first to four and crank it up to five in the next round. An Evolution duo hope to make it through in the next pair of bouts.
