credit card debt

i have 2 credit cards - one with 1900e on it and the other with 2200e on it. ive kinda let them run outta control a wee bit. whats the best thing i can do to take charge of the situation again? someone suggested transferring the balance onto a new credit card...any ideas?

Credit union loan to pay both off and close both cards accounts..
