    Hi there

Hoping you can help a Dub out here :)

How long would it take to get from Cork Bus Station (Parnell Place) to Dennehys Cross Church in say a taxi?

Would there be many taxis at the bus station?

Just looking at train fares to and fro Cork - quite expensive.

Any recommendations on the quickest bus service from Dublin to Cork?

    Thanks

Hi there. You should take the No. 208 bus from Patrick St outside Brown Thomas to Dennehy's cross. Costs just 1.90

And the bus from Dublin to Cork is significantly cheaper than the train. Free wifi and onboard toilet on GoBe. All bus services take 3 hours

Bus 205 goes from train station to Dennehy's Cross. Bus stop is inside station carpark. Bus would take about 15 to 20 mins to get to Dennehy's.
There's a taxi rank in the station also but don't know the fare.

Sorry just realised you asked about bus station. I don't think there are taxis at bus station but Patrick Street is only a few minutes walk away.

The number five also goes right past the church, as well, and it stops outside the bus station.

GoBÉ or Aircoach will do the job. Aircoach is more regular and is a couple of euro cheaper for an adult (no student rates). GoBÉ is the same price for students and it does loyalty bonuses (free trip for every ten made - return trip counts as two) and you're more likely to get two seats to yourself. GoBÉ goes from Busáras to Busáras, Aircoach goes from Westmoreland Street to Patrick's Quay (across the river from the bus station).

There is a taxi rank on the western side of the bus station.

Or use Hailo or something. Buses here now take Leap cards. Journey time depends heavily on time of day, on a rainy rush hour could take up to an hour.
