    Hi Guys,

Is there a way I can connect a gas torch like this or this to a standard propane gas cylinder from an old BBQ?

Can I use the existing regulator on the gas cylinder and somehow fit it to the torch on the other end?

In laymans terms, what connecters etc do I need to accomplish this or can it not be done?

    Regards,

    Brian.

No that type of torch is designed for specific cylinders available in all plumbing & heating merchants

Is this what I'm looking for? Dunno the specifications of the gas cylinder but it's a bog standard one you get in shops for BBQs.

:EDIT: Just saw your post Robbie. Is what I'm trying to do possible? Or will I have to just use the specific small canisters for those torches?

That regulator won't fit the bottle of propane (thats a POL connector for large propane cylinders found in Norther Ireland)

If the cylinder you have is a 'Patio Gas' cylinder (for BBQ) then the valve will most likely be a 'jumbo' valve, not an F-type connecter found on larger propane cylinders in Southern Ireland, I have never seen a regulator for this type suitable for a turbo torch

Whats the application you trying to achieve here?
