Yeah, although on their website for the Open Evening it said for 6th Years and mature students but i suppose how are they gonna know!

Are the dates for junior cert appeals finished yet because I calculated my lowest grades which were all 86% but cspe was 88% and I still got a B those subjects were maths tech g technology and cspe.....and my religion and english should have been Bs the lowest possible grade was 78% and 71% respectively........ and still got Cs. I think that my religion was greatly miscalculated

I am disappointed with them I got 2as 6bs and 3cs....got As in science and geography...all higher except cspe.

Do they really matter enough to you that much that it is worth appealing them? Surely its better to be looking to your future exams than reminiscing on past ones.

Yeah well because I meant to be getting 350 for a ps4 for getting 6As so I need them so bad ... but unfortunately the appeal dates has gone thanks beca19 for informing me!!!

It's the '-b' formula, and you just pluck the numbers into it. If a quadratic equation (ax^2 + bx + c) ever has a root in it, then you do the '-b' formula to get your two X values.

Actually got a B and got a D on my mocks. Between the JC and Mock period, I done every past-paper and sample paper like three times (they all got corrected).

Ill say you were just touching the A.
Haha I got a B (70%)in the mocks which was the highest in my class and year of 130!!! and got a B in the junior Ill say I got bout 85 86 and was brought down to a B as the A rate was down this year.

Hey lads. I see there is lots of people here out helping each other. So I thought maybe someone could help me with a question I was stuck on.
I was out on Thursday when the teacher explained it so I could not get any chance.
It is Q5 C
Now I tried the example on the previous page and it told me to substitute the u for y+4overy and I ended with a quadratic that worked out as u= 5 and 1 but from there on I have no clue.

Got a friend to it aswell and she got the same answer. My brain is absolutely melted now.

I think theyre called connected equations and they should be beside normal quadratic equations but I'm not sure as we don't really use a book

I started my first 'comparative text' for English yesterday. I heard that we only need three mediums (book, movie etc) for the exam. Anyone have any more information?

You just basically compare some aspects between a novel and drama you have read?

We are doing a book, movie and play.
You compare them under 3 headings but i think you only pick one or two for the lc.
The are like theme and cultural context and then one or two more

Can you guys give a fellow Boardsie some advice?. Wanted to do both Biology and Chemistry as part of my options but only got Chemistry!. Was stuck with dreadful options as opposed to the Biology class and I'm reluctantly in Economics despite liking Business at JC( confused isn't the word as the way it's taught isn't great and notes I get are inaccurate and to couple with that my textbook is confusing and the atmosphere in the class is horrific!. I'm doing eight subjects currently ( seven higher level including Economics and was wondering should I see if I can study Biology on my own during Economics or dread going to class and see it as easy points even if I'm struggling?). I'm hoping to do medicine so want to study Biology even if I can't in school!. That would tally to nine subjects ( eight at higher level).
