I feel in control. Managed to sit down and do a lot of notes and studying with breaks in between. My hand hurts now :p.

I'd recommend putting your phone in a different room. Airplane mode is also handy, because you won't get any calls or notifications.

Aiming for 550 points in the summer exams... And an A1 in honours maths!

I feel the same way, I'm absolutely dreading the summer tests and our teachers keep saying the points we get in the summer will be similar to the LC. I really hope that's not true, I've just left so much to the last minute and didn't realise how much stuff I don't know so I feel like it will be a disaster

Jesus the best I could hope for in maths is a B2, thanks for the advice... I have most of biology, irish, geography,German,English and maths...it's just I feel stressed and under pressure...got 15.5% I think in ABQ test not overly happy as I needed to get more in order to put less pressure for actual test as I want an A1...oh well!:-) anyone doing Meitheal?:-):-)

Financial maths is fun. All you have to do is plot values into a formula and get the answer.

The problem with financial maths is that it's hard to recognise which situation requires what formulA.

Any updates in how much ye done lads ?
So far I have complete studying my business. Now i just need to revise it to keep it stuck inside my head coming to the exam.

    Today:
Did some Chemistry Experiment E.Q. (Ethene and Ethyne. Water Crystallisation. Iron tablet. Bleach)

Studied for my Italian oral coming on Friday.
Got to study a letter that we will be getting for our test

I still got to do some Maths -Some book ex's and and learn off the constructions and proofs.

If I have time at the end of the day I will try to get Ecology done for biology.

Tbh. The only subject I am worried about is maths. I think I started my studying too late and throughout the year I gave very little time in actually studying maths.(Just done hw) So im on a push to scrape a C1.
In the actual thing I am aiming for B2/B3.

First exam today. Had geography and not one essay I learnt came up aggggh waste of time!

Had English and Maths today - ran out of time for English but I still managed to get most of what I wanted to say written down, I had to sacrifice all of my conclusions though. Maths was surprisingly much better than I expected - there were two questions that I had no idea how to start but I'm fairly sure I used the right method for everything else, should definitely pass at least

Got told today for our English exam we have to do a comprehension, unseen poem, a comparative essay and a studied poet essay in just under two hours.. Should be fun..

Well that's ridiculous? And virtually impossible to get better than a C in seeing as you're given over 2 and a half hours for those questions in a real exam...

I know! The two teachers are having another meeting about it today after school so I'm hoping they decide to take out at least the comprehension or else they would want to be marking this exam reaaaaally easily.

Thought I was the only one going really slowly in Chemistry, but a few pages back and some people are having the same problem. Why does this happen? Is there barely anything to cover in 6th year or what?

I have to say, all of the studying for the summer exams is starting to come together. Just have to learn off a few chapters here and there and look at some sample questions. I'm feeling much more calm than last week, starting to think that the Leaving Cert is actually very doable.

In Biology, could the examiners ask you to draw a stage of aerobic respiration using a diagram? My teacher just gave us a load of cyclic diagrams to represent each stage of the process and told us to learn them off and didn't actually explain what was going on in them, and I found it was a lot easier to understand the topic by learning the wordy explanations in the book, but should I be looking at the diagrams too?

No, they generally ask whats happening, the diagrams are really much to help your understanding of it.
The only diagram they would ask you to draw would be the nitrogen cycle, but in terms of respiration, you are talking about the kerbs and 2 carbon bonds etc. diagram also the electronc chain system, from the exam papers I have done so far for them, I just learned the description of whats happening, because thats what the marks are going for in the marking scheme, diagrams alone won't get you everything, from what I learned from my Bio Christmas Test!!

Want an A1 in chemistry and should get it if my cramming skills stay strong :pac: low B in Irish, don't really care what I get as I hopefully won't be counting it, and an A2 in French if I find the time to learn my opinion pieces.. Maths was way easier than expected today so hoping for an A! English was another story... And you?
