Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Do you really think people are sitting there thinking about last season whilst watching the match? Old Trafford must be like a morgue then.

There'll always be a discussion of last season and more so because Liverpool came so close and their last Premier League game at home was such an anti climax. Of course that'll play on the mind especially since all the pre season talk has been talk of "last season" and the "pressures of this season without Suarez"

Can or Allen on fir Lucas please

Personally I think Lucas has been excellent first half, first into challenges, has won the ball back high in the Southampton half twice, and has showed very well for the ball, and distributed it well. He looks far more mobile than last season/. He has a big role to play this season imo.

Shut up, Shut up, Shut up, Shut up, Shut up, Shut up, Shut up, Shut up, Shut up,

This is pretty much how Liverpool started off last season though.

This - I'd prefer Allen for his footwork rather than Can who's more physical - Lucas offering nothing - being passed around when he presses and his passing offers nothing going forward

Maybe for the media, but not for Liverpool fans it hasn't

Johnson on the left today is a fair indicator of him losing his first team privileges once Moreno settles

    Skrtel keeps letting it bounce

You're telling me that not one Liverpool fan has talked about last season or the fact that they've lost their top striker who really dug them out of a lot of holes last campaign?

I've not jumped on the Glenjo Bandwagon, but that was shocking defending! Follow your runner!!

Very good goal. They've dominated the second half in fairness.

Dreadful from Lucas. If he can't track runners then he has no place in the team. Let Clyne run in behind him.

No arguments, they've been the better side since we scored, and it was really stuck.

Coutihno unable to get space and Sturridge suffering as a result

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,087 ✭✭✭Duiske

Lucas is fast becoming a liability.

  • Subscribers Posts: 32,855 ✭✭✭✭5starpool

OK Brendan, what can you do now? This isn't the type of situation that Lambert will solve imo. We need Allen or Can perhaps to try and exert some control on the ball as we've been terrible since we scored.

Sturridge and Coutinho are having those kind of games.

Ward Prowse looks a tidy player.

We signed the wrong Southampton players. :( £40m bid for Clyne tomorrow morning!

Hope Rogers has something better than a Paul Ince idea on that pad

Hopefully, he offers much more than Johnson has done for the best part of 2 years.
