At what point do incoming first years get a UCD Connect Account?

    From the website:

    If you are offered a place in UCD by the CAO you should accept it as soon as possible. Once you have accepted your offer for UCD and the CAO office has notified UCD of your acceptance (generally this takes 48 hours) the following information applies.

    Dates provisional based on CAO dates:CAO offers accepted prior to 5 pm on 18th of August and dependent on your place on the Priority Wait list, offers to book accommodation will go out at 4pm on the 20th of August (Wednesday) to successful applicants by e-mail. The email will be sent to your UCD Connect account and cc'd to your personal account.

    At this time you will have a window of 24 hours to accept and finalise this room booking.


    So apparently we need to have it by the 20th. Will we get an email when we accept the CAO offer?

    You should get a lot of information in the post the day after offers come out and there's loads of info there about registering, paying fees and logging into ucdconnect. Regardless, from Tuesday you should be able to log in, just go to ucd.ie, your username/student number is your CAO number, and your password is your date of birth (ddmmyy). Hope this helps :)
