Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Chambers had nothing to do with that goal. It was Koscielney.

Started with that Chambers pass though. Suicidal.

Why are you annoyed? What's the point of anything? etc.

    You're one weird bloke

Not overly impressed with Alexis so far....

Jack is too slow. Doesn't look fit and either giving the ball away or is dispossessed.
This is going to be harder now that they have the lead.
    More urgency needed.

He's not good enough to be starting for us at the moment.

Arteta needs a much stronger midfielder with him.

    Sanago is championship level.

    Need to get Giroud on

He's playing to wide, he's quick, but not Theo,Sterling quick that he can do damage that wide

Thought he was poor in the Community Shield game too. Final ball kept hitting opposition players.

It came from a poorly defended corner. A new play as such.

Arsenal not impressive at all so far

Really hate seeing the stupid 1-2s around the edge of a crowded box when there's other options. Silly from Chambers there as well.

  • Registered Users Posts: 201 ✭✭Paj

    Yup.

You're only involved when you're complaining or when you're unsatisfied. I'd hate to be such a miserable individual. Enjoy the rest of the match.

Great ball, crucial goal. Koscielny is some lad for crucial goals.

    Frustrating first half overall.

Goddamnit I hate not having Sky. :P

1-1 half-time, need to step things up bit time in the 2nd half. I really hope I'm not being too negative.

Lovely finish from Koscielny. Real slow motion header.

Nope. He wasn't. Was just in that much space with a well timed run that it might have looked that way.

Happy enough with 1-1. Very important that we got one back before the break.

It's a very hard Palace side to break down when they are so compact and organized defensively.

Is there much to be positive about when it takes 29 minutes for a first shot on target? Christ.

Goal came at the perfect time for Arsenal. Palace will be deflated going into the break.

Can see you winning this now

Not great really. Good time to score though. Hopefully step it up in the second half

    Palace have been very organised

Busy summer with WC and palace defending stoutly.

Palace with ten men behind the ball most of the time, shots aren't gonna come freely. Liking the look Of Sanchez, he was all over the pitch in the first 20 minutes but palace have picked him up quickly. Think sanogo should come off for giroud, we need someone to play in Sanchez as opposed to Sanchez tryin to play in sanogo.

Defending looking ok, debuchy and Gibbs decent, chambers left wanting at times but some great flashes for a nineteen year old.

I think our quality was clear but there may have been a little underestimating on our part. Get em riled Arsene.

Frustrating. Too many passes not enough penetration. One of the reasons I don't want to see podolski sold, he shoots. Joel Campbell in the second half, he shoots. It's not a surprise we didn't score a huge amount last season.

I could've sworn there was widespread agreement that we don't shoot from distance enough and the quality of such shots needs to improve. Getting at that on this thread is somehow wrong though.

No subscription at all alas. Can't get UPC either, I'm too far from the Liffey to smell it.

I think we'll see Giroud on soon and maybe OX.

Not even sure I'd want Giroud on that much, Oxlade-Chamberlain looks like a more obvious solution to a lack of pace/directness.

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,333 ✭✭✭bad2dabone

Hook wilshere, let santi play in the middle, throw in ox or Joel

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 35,514 ✭✭✭✭efb

Wilshere isn't up to it. Needs to knock off the tabs

I still think we're missing the striker ....Sanchez is good and all but he's not physical enough to play up top on his own
