Ground Chicory

I picked up some ground chicory in the St. Stephen's Green Centre Tea Shop. I gather that there are two ways to use it: one on its own and one as a 1:3 ratio with ground coffee. Does anyone have any advice on getting the best out of it? I have access to a pour-over filter, and an aeropress.
