Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Only looking to spend around 300 which I know is not a lot!

I would be looking for a medium, and I have already used btw scheme so I have no prob buying new or second hand, would like something with a half decent spec, not expecting anything amazing for the budget but don't want one thing crap either!

    Would appreciate your suggestions!

Go second hand. Something like this:

    http://www.adverts.ie/road-bikes/giant-defy-3-with-warranty/6187221

(though FWIW I think that price is a bit high for a 4 year old bike)

+1 on second hand. Done deal is good, but make sure you run a mile if the seller seems like a gouger (means bike might be stolen).

Ye had a quick scout through done deal there, just not sure really what types to be looking for, giant defy is obviously one,any more?

Is a carbon fork a big help?gears/crank type?

Carbon fork will help with the weight of the bike alright. Do you know what size bike you are after?
