I'll be buying it, I'll post a scan on here, which course are you after?

So just after that scare from one of the posters that Arts is 380 in Galway even if it is Rumoured, I know I have a got place as its on my CAO in the Kilkenny Maynooth Arts campus as it says there is vacant spaces on the CAO site, so I am not too scared any more of not getting a place even though I really want Galway!

I'll be shamelessly waiting here for some kind person to upload scans.

Getting pretty nervous now about my first choice course. It was 385 last year and I got 410 but the intake was only 16, I assume that makes the minimum points more volatile and so I'm not very confident. Not as bad as the night before the results though.

Second choice is actually Arts in Galway, which I highly doubt will rise above 315, if at all.

Probably round zero, I got mine last month
Round zero has nothing to do with tomorrow's points tho.

Yeah, it's only the second year they've run that; I believe numbers went up well since last year but they can still take a few extra so you should be pretty guaranteed that one ;)

As long as you fulfilled the entry requirements, if it goes down to AQA, that means you got in.

I remember two years ago - I found the scans on here early. I had to break the news that my girlfriend was five points short for Midwifery, after she did so well to pull in 455. She was heartbroken. Turns out she got the HEAR points and she got in - offered the place at 6am. Whoops.. :)

If someone is going to scan or screenshot the points section, to save numerous pleads once the first one goes up, could you just screenshot the whole page rather than sections? It would save alot of people the anxious wait and alot less of the "could you please post *insert college here*"

Needless to say this probably won't happen, but I just felt like posting none the less :)

Good Luck to everyone later on :) May the odds be ever in your favour.

Hoping for English and New Media in UL. The points for it last year were 355 and I got 360 so I can't even think about sleeping until the Irish Times Digital Edition is out

If you could DM me UL I would be very grateful

The earliest that people are able to get their hands on the morning paper is usually around 3am, so I'd say hold out for people claiming to have it until then ;)

Bull****. The dramatic increase in points for Arts in Galway is serious. I have a neighbour that works in the CAO, and she told me in confindence, and the demand for that specific course was massive this year.
So it's gonna go up 80? BS.

And people in the CAO do NOT tell people people things in confidence, because it would mean their jobs.

    Banned.

If it is 380 I will unban and grovel!

Just downloaded Irish Times digital edition. Must have been uploaded early. Unfortunately full points list not included. Front page however says Science up in all Dublin Universities. Has anyone else been able to download it yet?

Good luck to everyone waiting up to find out whether or not they're going to be offered their courses, I've been there (twice!) in 2012 & 2013.... my course jumped by 70 points the 1st time (missed out by 25, devastated didn't even begin to cover it...); ended up accepting my second choice that year (it was a nice course, & the people were fantastic, but it still wasn't the course that I'd been dreaming of since I was 10, and working my socks off for throughout 5th & 6th year)... went back and re applied to the cao in 2013, and the points dropped (1st round) by 90, and for the first time in the history of the course, there was a 2nd round, where the points dropped to 405, a total drop of 120 points! Got the course and I've honestly never been happier! Anyway, that's the long way of saying that anything can happen, & even if you don't get what you were hoping for, it's not the end of the world (even though it'll feel like it is!)... accept whatever you're offered (unless you know with complete certainty that you'd hate it, then don't!), you might be surprised by how much you end up liking it! Remember, there's always another way to get to where you want to be, even if you have to take the scenic route to get there! :D
One thing that everyone said to me after I didn't get my course the first time round was that "if it's for you, it won't go by you/ if it's for you it won't pass you"... I hated hearing that phrase that year, but truer words have never been spoken.
Deep breaths, you're going to be FINE, everything will work out the way that it's supposed to, even if you can't see it at the time, and not getting the course that you wanted does NOT mean that you're a failure! :)
