    My sons first preference was arts in UCD at 340 points but he got offered his 4th choice which is arts in NUIM at 360 points. Is this right seeing as UCD was his first preference?

    He didnt get enough points for either but under the hear scheme they have given him the extra points needed? I've e-mailed them but just wanted to check if this had happened to anyone.

    HEAR lists operate fairly independently in each college.

    It is quite possible he missed out on UCD, depending on how many applied through HEAR there, and yet edged into NUIM.

    At least he has an offer? :)
