bloody hell, looking at the rider list for this and it is ridiculous. Could easily have 130 points and still be unsure on who to select

Yes you can, no restriction on cyclists from the same team.

You mean tell you who to pick ??

but that is the fun of it...you pick who you want and the higher the price of the rider that more likely they are to be up there, bearing in mind you are restricted ot 100 points so can't have all the best riders as cannot afford them

Pick top riders for the all rounder category ..probably in order of potential as Froome,Contador,Talansky,Aru, Uran, Kelderman, Dan Martin,Pinot

The Vuelata is a climbers race so Quintana, J-Rod,VDB, Ten Dam,Hesejdal for climbers

Sprinters : Depending on price but Sagan, Matthews or Cav best sprinters

Unclassified could be anyone but again think climber or/and Spanish rider

Joker is anyone you couldn't get in the above categories and dependent on how much you have left to spend.... so if none of the above can be affored then maybe think Valverde , Horner,Evans, Sanchez

Given Deignans form and the parcours I think he's great value at 6 points. Could well podium on a stage if he gets into the right break.

You would assume his chances of getting in a break are slim being a domestique for Froome.

His points will almost all be exclusively from stage and GC assists hence only a cost of 6 points.

When picking my original team before checking to see who was riding the race. I spent an age trying to get Cav and Sagan into the team. Went to take Cav out out once I heard he was ruled out and I had neither if them in the team

Just swapped Cav for Bouhanni. Without Cavendish he should win a few stages.

Yeah I have aru too. I've put in Dan martin too but really am not sure if this is just irish sentiment or because I think he will do well. Horner is one I'm undecided about. Bentacur, kelderman and talansky all the same price as him but not sure who to go for. I already have aru at 12. Bentacur(god knows how he'll ride), Kelderman is decent but aint gonna podium and talansky I don't know what form is like.
Horner ould conceivably podium and seems to be bigging up his form.

Talansky I think will go well as he is one determined dude
Dan Martin is in great shape so I imagine will go well

I went for VDB as I think he also has a point to make...I also went for Gesink cos he is dirt cheap and wasn't bad in ToP

Aru is an unknown in this race & against this field so left him out ...I imagine Horner will ride well but not the podium IMO

Yeah I went similar. I went for as many climbers as I could get in, including cheap ones who are down as unclassified. my sprinter is a punt just

I had similar problems so this time I've picked Dan Martin's main rivals. I use a similar tactic in fantasy premier league and like to think I'm responsible for much of van Persie's time on the sidelines.:)

Some peoples scores are ridiculous already...it's like they picked a team just for the first stage and that only.

Poor start by me but I was expecting that. The mountains will be my time to rise up the table hopefully.

Ok...bear in mind the cost (total = 100) & what you would have chosen before knowign the TTT

Quintana = 24 , Froome = 22, J-Rod/Contador = 18
Not sure if you can see the rides price on velogames site

Second place after the TTT on Saturday, quick drop to 32nd place after yesterday's stage. My tactic from the Giro/TDF of not knowing much about cycling and just picking a team that costs 100 points doesn't seem to be working at the moment...

Im almost last, but I took a cheap sprinter and my team is climber heavy. Hopefully I'll start rising through the ranks soon.

My team dropped a few places to nearly last but once we reach the mountains and ITT's I hope to move up a lot. I have Matthews as a sprinter so I hope he wins some of the uphill sprints.
