Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

On the hunt for a rack for the car. It's a hatchback / people carrier type yoke.
Question is A - is it a good idea to carry the "good bike" around like this and B - if so, can a good one be recommended?

    Has it a tow bar?

Can't include URLs due to lack of posts but after a recommendation here I bought a Saris Solo (they have others) on offer from eurocycles.ie. It's a one piece, easily mounted unit. Use it for all my bikes and swear by it. Free delivery

Mounting it into a roof rack is out of the question?

People carrier? Can you not fold the seats and put the bike in the car? Get a roof box for luggage, wife, kids etc. :)

Pop off the front wheel in 2 seconds and put the bike in the car. I used to have one of them bike racks but they're more hassle than they're worth.

ive a new carbon bike that im not keen on racking up high on the back of my car. the lads in the shop advised just putting it in the back with the wheels off which really is the safest if you've no kids/dog vying for space. thinking of getting a tow-bar put on the car im getting shortly, jesus though, quoted nearly 400 quid for it. they aint cheap.. and thats before you splash on a rack. that said id prefer to have my bike racked low down on a tow-bar rack than higher up the back of the car where its more likely to caught in the wind.

that saris rack is nice though.. cheaper than i expected it to be too.

pick one of these up and brought it back as it just wouldn't sit on the car right, I thought it was me so checked the website and it wasn't right for the car(2012 fiesta). http://www.saris.com/
Got a buzz rack instead and its perfect, only issue is that the clamp wont fit near the seatpost but you get some ratchet straps with it that just tie it into place
