Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. I cant wait to see Di Maria in a utd shirt

It will be a thing of beauty

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,575 ✭✭✭NTMK

herrera was taken to North West London (Have no idea why), Rojo into manchester so its possible that he would arrive in any of them.

eitherway, hes arrived in Manchester about 15 times today if you listened to everybody.

they're having the medical and contract signing on the plane :pac:

I cannot believe Madrid are willing to sell Di Maria if I am honest. Are they ****ing nuts

This comes down to the internal politics at Real Madrid. Perez feels the need to keep buying superstars. Most of the time it works: bale, ronaldo, etc.
This time he brought in a player they didn't need and put one of their best player's nose out of joint.
    Their loss, our gain.

This guy is going to rip the PL apart. Cannot wait for the burnley match.

I'd really love to hear about any other business we 're doing now.

True. Real are a circus of a club. I don't now how they can keep so many top players with huge egos happy. Selling Di Maria who was their second best player last season is mind boggling. As far as I am concerned he will prve to be a much better player then Jamie Rodriguez, and if he was fit for the WC final I reckon Argentina would have won it. Hes their second most important player. I hope he settles in quickly. LVG signed Robben when he managed Bayern so he probably feels Di Maria will be just as pivotal to our rebuilding job.

There selling the player with the most assists in La Liga last season and the 2nd highest in the Champions League last season...its crazy.

Really do think Madrid are making a big mistake.
James will now be under pressure from the get go.

We've gained Di Maria but lost boobs.

I don't know how to feel.

Anyone else watching The Paddy Crerand Show on MUTV? ..."Well we'll see tomorrow night won't we - oh your not going to that match are you? ... [Presenter] the less said about that... " - welcoming Di Maria tomorrow including interview probably??

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,437 ✭✭✭redbaron_99

A lot of people are complaining that he isn't the answer to our problems, and I do agree that central midfield is critical at this stage.

But just you wait and see the difference with Di Maria in the team. When any of our players picked up the ball against Sunderland, nothing happened, it was slow, stagnant stuff and Sunderland kept their shape and were unafraid. When Di Maria picks it up, the opposition instantly fall back and head towards their own goal - this creates space all over the field - this will be a huge change for United. Mata, Rooney, RVP, Herrera will all look twice as good when there's space to exploit.

Several sources reporting that he is in Manchester already but they're not true, his plane is currently over Wales and has begun its descent into Manchester. Should be on the ground in 20 minutes.

So what can this team achieve this season ?

    DE GEA

    JONES
    SMALLING
    EVANS

    RAFAEL
    HERERA
    DI-MARIA
    SHAW-

    MATA

    ROONEY
    RVP

I would personally prefer to drop rvp or rooney ,revert to 433 and get in Vidal and a new defender

Perez wants his stars even if it does weaken the team, hes nuts

70mill on Illarramendi and Isco, two of the most promising young players in spain a season later seem to be forgotten. id have either in a heartbeat at united

If Welbeck leaves and Chico does stay, we need another striker as cover. Chico offers nothing at all lately so we would be really lacking up top.

no way he'll play as part of a midfield two. More likely to see Carrick in there with herrera, and di maria instead of Mata.
