Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

What exactly is the issue though? We clearly need players, is van gaal over confident in the ability of some of the players or is that no players will come because of the lack of champions league? or is it that ed woodward cant do his job properly?

This has been debated constantly on every United forum on the net for a couple of months now.

No one knows why. It's quite infuriating

Di Maria to sign for United and wear the number 7 apparently.

Ronaldo convinced him to choose us over PSG

Just discussing it on sky sports 5 there. On revisita.
They were talking about it as if it's fact. There were no uncertain terms.

    Great news re Di Maria...

Most of the transfer kitty flittered away on a panic buy while the areas that need improvement are neglected again.

    You couldn't make it up.

    We do need him.
And how do you know it's most of our kitty? Hmm?

We're installing a bar in our front room when the roof of the house has fallen in.

    It's a complete joke...

It's not a bad signing by any means and means we finally have a world class winger worthy of the number 7 for the first time since Ronaldo and some badly needed pace in the squad.

As long as it's followed up with the signing of Vidal or Khedira then it's all good.

    Beleive.

Exactly what im thinking. People need to brighten the f**k up and be happy that we might actually be getting one of the best wingers in the game

IF Di Maria joins ,how will/should we line up ?
433 with a midfield of Herrera, mata and new CM. with Di Maria,RVP and Rooney as a front 3 ?Rooney would be playing out of his best position.

    DDG
    Rafa Jones Evans Shaw

    ---Herrera new CM

    Mata

    Rooney RVP Di Maria

if its true maybe he can convince khedira to join him at old Trafford :D

Is Balague suggesting that we've sorted out the contract with Di Maria, and have gotten to a stage where we've even told him what shirt number he'll wear, and all that's left is for the clubs to agree a fee?

If so, I was under the impression that wasn't allowed? Or would we have done so with Madrid's permission and a fee to be agreed afterwards?

I heard exactly the same thing with Mata. Gonna be another great attacking player starved of service, while the midfield and defence are all over the place.

I would sh*t myself with excitement if both Di Maria and Khedira joined. It's a fantasy though I'd say.

I would too but if we sign Di Maria, we're definitely done in the market.

£50-60 million and that takes us to £160-170 million spent this year.

indeed, he should be a super signing for us. it would be great if we can get another CM but at least its finally a world class player and thats a start.

it should lift the depressed mood within the club and the fans also. and for Woodward, no matter what we think of him it will lift some pressure - having him going around like a nervous wreck, desperate and a laughing stock is no good for us at all.

hopefully this comes off and its a case of 2 down, 2 to go.

It does not mean we are done spending. It's speculation on your part

If Madrid said its OK then its fine.
    2-2 in the match

Not everything can be sorted in this window but Shaw, Herrera, Rojo and Di Maria are pieces on the puzzle that probably won't be finished till next summer window.

The team won't be perfect this season but with our front line we can be hopefull of a right crack at a Top 4 place.

go for De Jong for 10m,he would be a good addition for a very low cost.

After spending 200 million in a year it would need more than a crack at it tbh.

The window isn't closed yet and if this signing is true it shows the money is there to spend.

We definitely need a world class defensive or all round midfielder though in the mould of Vidal or Khedira. I'd line the team up like this in a 4-2-3-1.

    DDG
    Rafael-Jones/Evans-Rojo-Shaw
    Herrera-Vidal/Khedira/Carrick
    Jan/Young/Valencia-Mata-DiMaria
    RVP/Rooney
