But if Di Maria does come in surely to have him Mata, RvP and Rooney playing we will need to use a different formation. Interesting stuff ahead.

There is no formation that I can see that could accommodate all of them in their best positions.

Someone from Mata, Rooney or RVP will be dropped/rotated. The best option would be rotating Rooney and RVP imo and rotate Kagawa and Mata but egos like Rooney and RVP will not be happy with that even if it's the best thing for the team.

Then we have Balague, a none bullshíter who spins stories to ingratiate himself with Spanish chairmen, announcing that United are close to sealing the deal with Di Maria. I don't see a problem with Rooney or Mata playing a wing forward role at all. So long as Rooney isn't running back all the time or there's a fast player opposite Mata. It never hindered Silva at City.
