Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Attendance: 52,495

Should have been 257 more but they're all standing on the platform in Killarney station wondering where their train is.

    Definite peno.

Expect Brolly to go apeshít over that foul.

    Surely a black card?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 8,657 ✭✭✭CountyHurler

Well there's a black card anyway..

That's the sort of foul that should earn a sending off. Not the silly incident earlier.

Coldrick actually refereeing this and applying the rules, yet lads here giving out about it?

Very little pulling and dragging compared to the first half because he pulled a few very early in the second half, making it a much better game.

edit - yellow a right call, deliberate pulling down/body colllide AFTER the ball went are the black card rules

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 18,184 ✭✭✭✭Lapin

    Well taken.

That black card rule is a joke.. The need to just get rid of it if they cant administer it properly....

    Game on now anyway..

Seems like they just don't bother about the black card anymore.

When do Kerry come out after the break?

But it wasn't a black card. A push in the back can't be a blackz

Is that a black card offence though? Genuine question. I thought the black card was for deliberate pulling down or back chat to ref.

That just seemed like a clumsy shoulder to the back.

I thought this James O'Donoghue fella was meant to be decent?

but it wasn't a black card - deliberate body collision AFTER the ball is played away is the rule or a deliberate pull down

Kerry are pedestrian in the half forward line. Although that may be a discredit to Mayo defence, they are very focussed!

Unfortunately, the black card only covers a very specific set of offences, dragging a player down, hand and foot tripping to name a few. While that was obviously a cynical foul, by the rule, it didn't warrant a black card.

1-9 to 0-4 to Mayo since Keegan was sent off

i dont think a shoulder to the back warrants a black card , kerrys goose looks cooked here, i hope this is'nt mayos traditional " all ireland" final like the do every year they get to an all ireland final , play there best stuff in the semi finals and bottle the final

Fair enough lads (and rebel girl), you're right about it not being technically a black.

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 11,441 Mod ✭✭✭✭Hammer Archer

Ah jaysus O'Shea, enough with the imaginary card rubbish.

In fairness to him, he has been fouled over and over again.

Think it definitely should be changed to include fouls like that.

That is some second half performance by Mayo so far in fairness, I only arrived home for the start of the second half and they were 14 men and 10-5 down, I debated turning over to watch something else.

    Brilliant by Donaghy there.

I don't think so, minors into All Ireland final, juniors who they are using to blood a lot of players from under 21 and minor into adult football lost the All Ireland final yesterday, so they have players coming through of decent quality.
