Filling loop not pressurising system

Hi I have an alpha sy9-24 boiler. Haven't used it in a few months so I bled rads yesterday as we have tenants moving into the apartment this week so wanted it in good shape. After bleeding the pressure dropped so used the filling loop to top it up as I have done on two other occasions in the last 2-3 years. However pressure will only reach just under 1bar and no noise can be heard from the loop after a few seconds. Boiler won't work as it needs 1bar. Any ideas? Thanks.

Try filling it at different times of the day as mains pressure can fluctuate throughout the day.
Failing that you may have to get a plumber out to rig up a hand pump to the system to get you above the 1 bar.

It's possible that there is an issue with the mains pressure, especially as it's an apartment, but it seems odd that it won't reach 1 Bar.

I've seen the check valves on filling loops fail or block up previously, so that could be the problem. You could try closing the fill valve and carefully disconnecting the flexy hose. Then run some water into a bucket and see what pressure you have.

BE CAREFUL!! I've seen the filling loops connected backwards with the valve on the wrong end, so that it couldn't be turned off before the flexy hose. It would be safest to close the mains stopcock before trying this.
