Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Normal day. Our school had planned to close but with snow days they had to go.
Just as well as we were both working anyway.

Had a bull with it a couple of years ago.
Vet injected directly into the throat. Gave us betamox la, dexameth and another injection to give him, cant remember what it was.
He faded a bit due to not eating well but made a full recovery.

fine job. I didn't see them tipping into a trailer though, you would need that in a big field.(although it shouldn't be an issue.) Would like to see it working on a tractor. next stop - ploughing match!

Was reading about one of the biggest American feedlots in Tues farming indo last night. God the stats and logisitics of the operation would make the mind boggle.....
270,000 cattle fattened annually on 300 acre 'yard.'
~1000 cattle leaving for slaughter every day!!
1600t of maize meal fed/day Into 27km of feed troughs!!
    185 workers.

I bet it made bob feel small!! :)

Good stuff Mac, the firsts calf must have been a fair animal. Have you used PCH much, he has a serious figure for milk, what do you think of him?

The first lad looked more like a bb than a lm. He was black aswell. The pch was a big pull from a heifer, used 4 maternal Bulls last year and got 4 bulls. He would suit a smaller butty cow as he is very leggy, but I can't complain.
