Better still is to confiscate the chargers and watch them slowly die:cool:

Doing a few bits around the house today, started listening to an American guy on YouTube, Dave Ramsey, does a radio show about money and budgeting. Particularly regarding debt and budgeting. A lot of good advice in it.

Putting in bales silage to weanlings. Just seems wrong in this weather.

But it's for sheer handiness with family wedding over the weekend and herd test coming up.

Best of luck, will you have to get the other one done as well? All the lifting and dragging in our younger days doesn't help.

Auld lad had one 3 years ago at 66 and is fitter and stronger now then he was at 60. Most important thing is to do nothing for the six weeks after.

    Best of luck!

do they not have ye up and about now alot qucker after the op than it used to be?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,975 ✭✭✭Connemara Farmer

Dad had his hip replaced a fair few years ago now. He had to walk with the help of two sticks before the op, could do SFA in reality. Afterwards he was so much improved, it's a great op. One tip:

DO WHAT YOUR DOCTOR TELLS YOU.

Messing it up by doing stupid things afterwards will only put you out of action for much, much longer.

You're right, they have you walking with crutches and going up stairs after day 2. The problem is when you go home after the week, the leg swells up massive for a week or two. You can walk around with crutches but some people push their luck and do too much from week 3 to six. TBH you can do very little for six months after the OP. If you mind yourself during this period you'll be sorted. Father had hip and mother had knee done. Knee is far worse.

There's five here twittering round the place. Couldn't they have tweeted and told us to have the tea on for them :D

Surprising they're so late, perhaps blown off course?

Anyway back on track, cow that has had two sections is now three days overdue. Literally gave her one chance with a straw last year and she held, so twas lucky going in, hope it's as lucky coming out!
