Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

The cold water challenge could probably ruin Marty Whelan's new hairdo if medical advice is against him though.

Oh great, Nathan Carter is on tomorrow so we get to hear fcuking Wagon Wheel AGAIN?

Anyway, North Carolina/Maria Bamford to win.

Also, isn't Daithi wired up with a load of mics and electronics? Great idea submerging yourself in water.

I'd say its a battery operated wireless mic pack. It will stop working if it gets wet, but it won't electrocute him. He's not plugged into anything. Unfortunately. :o

Dub Rose all the way pour moi. Honourable mention goes to the North Caroline Rose. Far more of them should show up hammered/stoned. :D

Well, that didn't disappoint, I'll bring out a blue dress for tomorrow....

Stay safe and dry Boardies! :)

Pitty there's not a public vote, that last one would do well.

My favourites so far are Abu Dhabi, Kerry and Leitrim.

"Derek Davis" and "lightly" are words you don't often see in a sentence together.

I was sure he was going to say Gay Byrne.

It seems to be an advantage if you have a dead sibling/other relative, that you can talk about,in this competition...

Father Ted's "Lovely Girls Competition" took the piss out of this event well!

Why did they use two buckets, I would say the one with water was more than likely lukewarm water and then they mixed the two, anyone I saw doing this used the one bucket either way it was cringe TV.

What a stupid way to end the show!...Just give the money to the Charity and be done with it....It's not like they can't afford a few bob!

It's like the toffs doing what the "cool" kids play at in Social Media.....Pathetic I thought tbh!

Don't be such a grouch. It's a clever way to get people to donate to charity as it creates a game or challenge around it. It has people talking and that's a good thing.

To be honest, you just sound irritated you didn't know about it until now and feel left out.

Lol! if someone came at me with a bucket of iced water God help them!....

I get the point of the charity, but I think Daithi on the stage last night was ridiculous to say the least!....it was all about him, not the charity!...I'd rather he put his hand in his pocket and forked out the hundred euro tbh!

Use to like Daithi but I thought last night he came across as if he couldn't give a f*ck!!!!

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,522 ✭✭✭paleoperson

He was always a sick joke parody of stereotypical country people. Some people don't like Marty Whelan but I think he's a fine presenter and would do a better job.
